Hello all! I would be very glad if you are able to help me with this problem.

After 1 week I sent my packet, I received my NOA 1 (extension letter) I put it somewhere so that I can take it to work to show it to our HR Office but I couldn't find the letter. My conditional greencard will expire on 05/29/16. I called USCIS last week and the immigration officer put a service request for me, called again today to check and the officer said, I should received it in 30 days. My HR office is adamant to receive the extension letter.

Any advice or experience in regards to this? What are the things I need to do to be pro-active, schedule an info pass maybe?

I went to SSO 3 weeks ago to present them my green card (to have my SS profile updated)

I received a letter from them that they cannot update my SS profile to a green card holder because my last bame in the immigration office is still still in my maiden name . This weirds me out-- because when I received my employment authorization they gave me a sscard with my married name printed on it. I got my driver's license with my married on it too.

I need to update my profile with them by December ( Ead will expore) because employer needs to have my SSN profile updated and to prove that I have a valid permanent residence status so that I can continue to work.

Please enlighten me and thank you so much in advance.

I am so sorry for this. I know the same feeling cause I have been through what you're going through except receiving the the RFE too late.

I got our RFE notice around April 5 2013 received the hard copy around 4 days after, replied after 2 days then they received our RFE reply on April 17 2013. We got approved July 17. I contacted USCIS and emailed a congressman but non of that helped. What we did was we contacted Vermont in this email address on our 60th day (if you are bring processed in California, email is below)

After 21 days I contacted this email address and got approved after 5 days

We just wrote a very detailed description of our case, dates.. Basically writing your timeline. Let the petitioner write the email. Hope this helps.

By the way I went on a K1 visa

I filed an AOS, EAD and AP on October 21, 2013. I hope to get my EAD soon so that I can work. Congrats to everyone who got approved and received their card.

You do not need to redo your medical. Personally, I would call other civil surgeons until I found one that will do the immunization transcription only. Maybe another VJ member that lives in your area can provide a civil surgeon that does the transcription only.

So you mean, i will just ask them how much is the immunization transcription only?

I'm ready to send out my adjustment of status from K1 visa.

I just have a little concern about I 693. I called the civil surgeon around the area, I live in Memphis by the way and all of them said that they can recognize the vaccination but they need to do another physical exam again, but I already did my physical exam August 2013 at St. Lukes, I explained it to them but they wont accept nor transcribe something that they didn't do cause they said, they're not sure about the result done in the previous medical center.

What are your advice for this? Do I need to explain it to them? or should I just take the fact about paying them for another medical exam and all the prices are ranging to 125-330.

You are now applying a different category of visa, as long as your met all the requirements neede for K1 visa and you have a bonafide relationship, which I believe you do, then you should be fine.

Hello! I have my visa on hand and I had been planning to book my flight through Orbitz or Pricline.

I had once booked my flight with them, from Memphis, USA -Philippines and didn't encounter any problem.

So, I had my interview at the Manila Embassy, 15th of August 2013, due to several holidays and flood occurence I am expecting to have my passport delivered late. So, here's my timeline:

August 15- Ready

August 16-22 AP (no 221g)

August 23- READY (wait for two business days)

August 26- AP again

August 27- ISSUED

August 29- US TRAVEL DOCS says my passport is out for delivery

I checked with 2go and my passport number nor my MNL case number is still invalid. I am from the province in Mindanao, planning to leave on the 11th of Sept, didnt book a ticket yet, but do you think I will receive it before then?

Nope, I got a verbal approval from the consul and they didnt get ask for any additional documents, they said Im good to go.

I had my interview August 15, 2013 Just waiting for my visa to be delivered, experiencing a delay because of the Manila embassy being closed due to flood.

I was also a J1 visa holder, held a visa valid from April 04 2011 to April 04 2012 left at exactly May 4, 2012, exactly 30 days, I used my whole grace period. I got approved right away and is now waiting for the visa to be delievered. She also asked me about already being in the US, I bet she knew that it has a grace period that's why I never encountered anything like yours.

It will all be fine, there might be some delay but it will be alright since, a J1 holder has a 30 days grace period and is allowed to get another visa if you dont have the 2 year rule.

So, you are fine. I am hoping the best for you.

Just as when I am checking, my fiancé forgot to include his 2012 W2. Well I have 2010,2011, 2012 W2, 1040 and Tax transcripts from IRS, but the only missing is W2 from 2012.
