  1. Hi everyone! I appreciate any replies to my concerns about " Adjustment of Status"

I came here in Hawaii with K1 visa last Oct 30 and got married on the 9th of Nov. Now I'm preparing all the documents needed for AOS. I have plenty of questions and I'm hoping you can help me guys.

    1. Do I need to find a civil surgeon and have another shots of immunization?

    2. We will apply for AOS, AP and EAD at the same time, How much do we need to pay?

    3. Do I need to get SSN first before applying for AOS?

Your reply is highly appreciated guys! Thank you...... Evelyn

  2. we cant help but be confused, today when my fiance arrived home from work he got something on the mail from US Embassy in Manila and when he told me about it and read it to me its the Packet 3 and it made us wonder why it was sent to him the (Petitioner) when we thought its suppose to be sent to me :P

do we need to worry about it or what? hope someone can enlighten us.. thanks in advance :)

You dont have to worry about it. My Fiance and I both received that embassy letter too. Maybe you can receive the same one soon also.

  3. hi hello

got my mnl#, what's to do next

    almost done with my requirements.

1.do i need to schedule online appointment for my interview?

    2. do i need to wait the USEM letter of appointment before i can schedule my interview.

    thank you all

    Congrats!

No need to wait for USEM letter of interview instructions..pay your visa at BPI, just bring your passport, Case number and printed deposit slip for payment, visit "http://ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp" to get and print the slip.

wait atleast 4 hours after you pay then you can make appointment.

Note: Your Receipt No. is your passport No.

  4. Hi guys! I had my interview today and yes ill post a review sson. the interview was very easy. but the problem is usem havent received mymedical results yet. I passed the medical concluding from having the cd and vaccine and vaccine record with me. the final window told me st lukes havent forrwarded my results yet. I went over to st lukes and asked about it, i found out tht the doctor who examined me had to go on emergency leave thats why she didnt had the chance to sign my report! they said she will be back on monday and asked me to call on monday. yes kinda annoying that it would cause a delay. the CO told me everything is good they arejust waiting for the results. question anyone experienced this? how many days or weeks will this cause delay? thanks for all the gnerous help here. im still in mixed emotions right now. :)

Congrats Nikki! I'm happy for you!

  5. You can apply at the main office in East Avenue, Quezon City and get it within a few days. And "DON'T REMOVE THE RECEIPT THAT GOES WITH THE CENOMAR". Unbeknownst to many, the receipt matches with the bar code that's on the CENOMAR and they are matched to show authenticity. If something is doubtful about the CENOMAR, the US Embassy inquires directly from the NSO Office to see if it's authentic.

There are stamps of authenticity by the NSO office that are embossed on the certificate, and many times FAKES do not have these.

Lastly, the US Embassy recommends the Pasay NSO because it is the nearest one to the Consulate office.

When I read your post I did look the receipt of my cenomar and they're really matched with the bar code. anyway, thanks for the tip, " not to remove the receipt with the paper"!

  6. yeah i got two cenomar too from december and recent one ..(different NSO Office) no difference and yeah maybe they want cenomar with receipt 'coz like me i normally remove it.. well cenomar is only 195.00 pesos i guess it doesn't hurt.. just it took another two weeks .. hayz..

two weeks for them to release a CENOMAR? so long! I was thinking to get a new one from Pasay 3 days before my interview. Lucky you said that, now I know. Thanks!

  7. You are actually 100% right. The cenomar is not required to be from Pasay. However, the embassy will do this any time there is any question raised from the file or during the interview. If you have the money, you can get a cenomar that says whatever you want it to and the embassy is fully aware of this. They just use the Pasay branch because they have a reliable channel there. If you get your cenomar from Pasay yourself, it means nothing more to the embassy than if it came from anywhere else. It still could be fake. They do this more often with older women and women with children. I actually knew one lady that did take a fake to the embassy, and she got caught.

fake? you mean it was not from NSO?

  8. I wonder whats the difference between a CENOMAR from Pasay to the other NSO Offices? Maybe if we get it from NSO Pasay, we should not detach the receipt from the paper because I think that's the only proof that it was taken from Pasay. I got CENOMAR from two different NSO offices and I can tell there's no difference between the two.

  9. Hi everyone. I am new here and I have a question about one of the requirements on the interview, hope you can help me.

My Fiance was born here in the Phil.but he is a US citizen now. My question is do I need to have his birth certificate aside from his naturalization certificate? I want to make sure I have everything that the consul might ask.

Thank you for taking time to read this.

This is what have read from DOS.

"3. BIRTH CERTIFICATE: Each visa applicant must have a birth certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) on security paper. Copies are needed for principal applicants and derivative family members and petitioners who were born in the Philippines. You may call the NSO Information Center at (632) 737-1111 or visit their e-census webpage to inquire about how to secure a birth certificate. If the NSO does not have a copy of the birth certificate, you must obtain a statement about its unavailability from the NSO and a certified birth certificate from the local registrar in the town where you were born."
