  1. My husband (petitioner / USC) and I (beneficiary) will soon be filing the I-130 petition from abroad (where we both live) for a CR-1 visa.

    As part of the evidence proving our marriage is bona fide, we want our parents and our mutual friends to write affidavits stating that they know our relationship is genuine and our marriage is legally binding and entered into in good faith.

    However, we cannot find whether or not these affidavits need to be notarized. The guide here on VJ doesn't mention it and I can't find mention of it on the USCIS website either. What do you recommend?

    We did notarized the affidavit to prove its true.

  3. Everytime I want to add my info to the list I'm getting an error, so I just share my case with you guys this way.

    Case complete; 09/07/2012

    Interview date; 10/09/2012

    Visa; CR-1

    Date of confirmation for interview; 09/14/2012

    It took only 5 businessdays from case complete to receiving interviewdate! :dance:

    We planned to be in the US by X-mas, seems that will work out just fine!

    Congrats....hope my case will be complete before end of this month and have interview by october so i will be with my husband on before christmas, our first christmas as husband and wife.
