  1. If you want to speak with someone about your case status, you need to ask to speak to a tier 2 immigration officer. The people that answer the phone do not have access to your case info and they are typically mis-informative and useless.

Why do you need to call them? Have you not received any info about them receiving your RFE response? Those that are being processed without an interview are taking longer to be approved. You could be waiting 10+ months. Check out the threads on this topic in the AOS Progress Reports sub-forum.

  5. Hi-

Yes, you can schedule your ASC appointment in Mexico City if you wish. Here is the address:

    Ciudad de México ASC (CAS):

    Hamburgo #213,

    Colonia Juarez,

    Cuauhtémoc, 06600,

    Distrito Federal

I couldn't find a phone number but it may be that you can schedule your appointment through the Visa Service Center website. If not, I would go to the ASC in Mexico City with all the required papers (passport, invitation letter and DS-260 confirmation page)and see if you can make your appointment there.

Just as a thought, we just returned from Ciudad Juarez (I did a review on VisaJourney). Doing the ASC in Ciudad Juarez was quite simply and quick if you don't do your ASC in Mexico City. If you do wait for Cd Juarez, consider leaving enough time for the Consulate to receive your results (may not be best to schedule late afternoon ASC and then your interview first thing the next morning). Hope this helped. Feel free to msg me if you have any other questions, etc.

    THANKS FOR THE USEFUL INFORMATION.

  6. Dear vj friends i need some guild line here,i want to schedule an appointment with the ASC centre for my biometries but i'm a bit confused,my interview is going to ciudad jaurez,is it possibles for me to have the ASC appointment in mexico city while the interview in jaurez?if yes what do i need to do?

  7. Have you contacted the NVC or DOS to see if your case has been transferred to the Consulate? The NVC is suppose to send a letter stating that the case has been approved with them and has been forwarded on to the Consulate. Since some have not gotten their packets mailed to them from the Consulate I would say you may want to call around and check to see exactly where your case is. What if you have a interview scheduled but in error you were not sent out any notice (it happens).

    THANKS!!!!!!!!!

That is really my worry. i was awell the case was sent to juarez on the 6 of september because i called the NVC.

  8. i'm getting frustrated with this endless journey,is been one month and 5days already since our case has been send to consulate juarez until this moment we haven't received any thing from the consulate.i wanted to call the consulate but my fiance keep warning me not to do that, that it may complicate matter.Am really getting tried of the long endless waiting,i taught it something of 6 months.my question is calling the consulate to asked if the case was received, can that really complicate the process?Did i need to received a notice or email from the NVC as well?Would appreciate if someone could enlight me on this questions.

    NOA1 FEB 8

    NOA2 AUGUST 27.

    NVC-NON

  9. This is true NVC does not process k-1 visa's, they only check the information again to make sure everything is there before they send it to the consulate. Some times it can take up to a week or so for them to finish reviewing your information and forward it on. All you can do is wait and keep checking to see when they send it to the consulate. I am waiting on the same thing. I received my NOA2 on 9/25...NVC received on 10/1 and as of yesterday it has not been sent to the consulate yet.

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was sent to the consulate on the 6th of september.

  10. Have been on this journey since febuary 8(noa 1)but i still don't know if the case is moving forward or backward.july 10 received a RFE on case status and reecived in mail on the july 25, and the RFE was mail in August 17 and uscis reecived mail on the 22 of august. In august 27 the case was approved and decision post. September 18 i called NVC to confirmed if case has been received the lady i spoke to told me that case has been forwarded to consulate office in mexico since on the 6 of september, that i should be receiving a notice from them within 20 days, while have not received the hard copy of NOA2.2 weeks ago i wondering the reason why we have not received the noa2 yet and decide to check uscis case status, the case change, that mail was return by the post officer.my fiance called the following day,the explaination was the address was not correct, but it was the same address that the RFE mail was received and they promise to send it again.last week i check the case, the approver date was change to september 25 and noa2 was received on the 2nd of octuber stating that we should wait for directions from the NVC,i call nvc yeterday the lady told me that nvc does not process k-visa.my questions are,has this ever happen to anyone before?is the nvc going to process the case base on the new date of the noa2?do i need to call the consulate?can i filled the DS 230 form without receiving any mail from the nvc and the consulate? What are my charges of having interview by november?i know is long story but i really need help.PLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Contact the USCIS about your missing NOA2. You will need that later for adjustment of status.

You need to get your CDJ case #, invoice # and beneficiary ID # from the NVC before you can fill out the DS-260 by calling 603-334-0700

Juarez will send the USC and the beneficiary in Mexico a letter('packet 3'). It takes about 2-4 weeks to receive after CDJ gets your file. Sometimes the letter does not reach the person in Mexico because of the crappy mail system there. If the only one that receives it is the USC, it can be mailed or scanned and emailed and printed out by the beneficiary in Mexico. It does not have to be the original.

The letter you receive points you to the sites where the instructions, forms and place to schedule your appointment and interview is. The letter is the only 'packet' you will receive. You should go to the links(which I am posting below) that are listed in the letter. The letter will be needed by the K-1 applicant at their ASC, medical and interview in Juarez, along with the confirmation page from the DS-260.

Here are the forms: http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/fianceforms.html , step-by-step instructions (very important to follow and they explain a lot): http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ciudadjuarez/231771/PDFs/packetk1may.pdf ,schedule ASC: http://mexico.usvisa-info.com , and CDJ info: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Mexico&cty=Juarez

While waiting, you can read through the reviews to see how the procedure works and what documents were needed by others applying for a K-1: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Mexico&cty=&dfilter=5

    thanks for the information.
