Happy Halloween!!

My husbands EAD timeline was 10/20 card in production, 10/25 card mailed, 10/27 card received. We spent all day today in the social security office (in Bakersfield, CA)...makes me miss small town Mississippi. They say his SS card will be delivered within 10 days...we shall see

Congratulations to everyone who has finished their interviews! And fingers crossed that all those EADs come in the mail this week! We are patiently waiting for our interview reschedule notice...I'm thinking Jan or Feb, ekkk!

What?! You moved to Bakersfield CA?! Am from Bakersfield!

I moved to NC Saturday to be with my husband who is in the military . He's deploying soon so I will be moving back. We filed back in Aug. a few days ago I got a USCIS text notication...interview for Nov 29th!

I am also in California so a delay was expected unfortunately.

Okay I am confused here. Gesi and I went out to eat dinner. At 4:45pm I get a text saying our case for EAD has been updated. Then again at 5pm. I couldn't check it on my phone but when I got home it said "On October 11, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

This is the same update we got on Saturday the 6th. I wonder if they changed our status by accident (4:45pm) notice then realized ours was already in production and changed it back (5pm update)??

I've read that the "second" EAD card production means they have mailed your card.

I also got my first notice 10/6 and again today.

Am Not a k-1 one filer so am not aware what the delay is aside from my field office possibly being backed up.

I had not once thought something was lost but it has me thinking what if??? I want to believe the system has no flaws but I know that's wrong. I will definetly call!

Nice! We got ours this morning also. Hoping it arrives soon! I don't know how long it normally takes from production to receipt. Guess I can check that out!

I am expecting it to come within a week or two. 30 days seems a bit much.

Am glad that I finally recieved an update after alll this time! Wonder why I haven't got an interview date?

So I see everyone is doing early walk-in at Biometrics. Is it going to change anything going 1 week before my date?

Naw, I am not thinking I would hear anything BY monday, I said hopefully next week sometime we will hear something since some seem to get updates the afternoon or 2-3 days after their bio appts!! I definitely know nothing before the scheduled date, but praying soon after

Wow that soon after? boy, am I jealous! Jk let's just keep our fingers crossed & hope for the best that's really all we can do at this point.

I just read that the NBC (National Benefits Center) does the initial processing for EAD and AP and 485 but then transfers the case to CA or VT for interview processing? But maybe since our case numbers are MSC it still still be processed through Missouri since it seems Vermont is extremely slow right now... but who knows. I am just waiting it out. I can't do anything to make it go any faster. I do enjoy talking to you all though, it seems to make it a little less stressful knowing others are at the same point in the process as I am!

From reading other's timelines from previous months filers, it looks like within a week they see some update on the USCIS case status but some take a few weeks....I am hoping we hear something next week since our appt is Monday but we did an early walk in. I know doing the walk ins do not speed the process but it's done and out of the way!

I also did a walk-in. my biometric appointment was originally scheduled for Aug. 28 and I still haven't had an update. So I wouldn't trust hearing back by Monday but it sure would be nice!

I have MSC.

Is that the "norm"?

When/where is it decided? The lockbox?

Does anyone know how soon after we have our biometrics taken should we get an update?

Congrats on the walk in!!

Our original biometrics appt was scheduled for this upcoming Monday (9/10) so I am hoping we hear something next week. Nothing's been changed on my online status. Has anyone who's had their biometrics done heard anything as of yet?

I walked in 2 weeks early on 8/14 and have yet to hear back. No online status change either.

OK, So I am a little bit obsessive, so I created a spreadsheet with all august files timelines.

Instead of dates what there is is day #, and the day number from a previous stage.

Your case is moving along nicely!! I just got our biometrics appt letter on friday and going to attempt to do an early walk in on Tuesday. We are also waiting on the hard copies of the NOA1's, hopefully they come soon! I am not sure if doing an early walk in helps the process or not but I guess it can't hurt!

Good luck with your walk-in!! The office I went did not give me a problem, I was actually the only one there. I am also not sure if it helps or not but if it does that's great! I was just eager to get it out the way.
