  1. 8:00am Appointment on Nov 6, 2012

7:45am Arrived Level 10 at MLC Building at Martin Place, Sydney. This is where you go through secuity and confirm your interview letter and check your purse, phone, electronics, etc.

7:57am escorted up to level 57 (or something like that); arrived and took a number and sat in waiting area and waited to be called to the window (like the DMV)

8:25am called to the window to confirm all our paperwork was in order then told to sit back down and wait to be called to the window again for our interview

9:15am called for interview. Basically you stand there and an agent confirms all your answers against what they sees on their computer screen

9:25am interview complete and visa approved

Summary of time in interview appointment start to finish: less than 15 mins speaking to someone and 1 hour 25mins waiting around/getting through security.

Questions asked (that I can remember):

    How did you meet?

Describe your relationship and how its going.

What do your parents think of your finance?

Where do you plan to live in the States?

Do you plan to work? Have you had any interviews/job leads?

How do you plan to support yourself?

Have you been to the U.S.? How long were you there?

Have you met your fiance's parents/family?

Note: I went with my fiance (visa applicant) didn't have to go but went anyway since I was in Sydney. All the questions above were for my fiance. At the end of the interview the agent ask "Do you have anything to add" and I said "No, all his answers were accurate" figuring unless she had specific questions for me I'd keep my mouth shut and about one second later she said "I believe this to be a legitimate relationship and I approve your visa application"! Easy peezee! Also note, I did all the paperwork, forms, filing, etc myself. No attorney's or visa services paid for, all on my own. If you are detailed oriented, and follow directions to a fault and have time, you can get through it. I started the process in May. So 6mos all in to get the K-1 visa for us!
