  1. Hello everyone!.

After living over a year in the US I am going back to my country (Argentina) to visit my family.

I got my work authorization and my green card valid for 1 and 2 years respectively and I was wondering how do I enter back to my country, as domestic with my passport or as international? And when I come back to the US as domestic or international. I am so confused.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Hello Everyone

My AOS interview was approved this year and I received my temporary green card just few days ago. I arrived to the US with a visa K1 in July last year (2015), got married and immediately applied for adjustment of status and work authorization, I did not send a petition for advance parole since I did not need to travel outside the US for a while.

    My question is what´s next?

The green card will expire in two years, it is a conditional permanent residence because I´ve been married only for 6 months.

Do I need to apply for advance parole in order to travel outside the US (form I-131)?

When do I have to apply for Lifting of Conditions (form I-751)?

Since my green card only last for 2 years will I need to update it or I just apply for citizenship before or after it expires?

Thank you very much in advance.

  3. Ok, so here is what I did this time, tell me if it is correct because now I am confused why $1,070?

First I sent $1000, then $1465, after reading well I was planning to send $1380 for the following reasons

I checked the fees on this website http://www.uscis.gov/forms

    Form I-485 says this
    I-485 Supplement A | Adjustment of Status Under Section 245(i) | Form Fee: $1,000

    Form I-765 says this
-765 | Application for Employment Authorization | Form Fee: The filing fee for Form I-765 is $380. If you are requesting consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), you must also pay an $85 biometric services fee for a total of $465. There is no biometric services fee for any other eligibility category. Some individuals may be exempt from paying fees. See the form instructions for more information.

So I thought it might be $1,380 the total for the paycheck, where do you guys get the $1,070 from?
  4. Hello everyone

I already received two rejection notices for my adjustment of status because the check amount is incorrect, the first time was our mistake but the second I have no idea what happened since I read the guide for payment.

I am presenting the following forms

    Form G-1145
    Form I-485 (Adjustment of Status)

    Form G-325A
    Form I-94

    Form I-864 (Affidavit of Support)

Form I-797 (Notice of action from form I-129F)

    Form I-765 (Work Authorization)

    Along with all supporting documents.

I need help from people who already passed through this process, I really don't want to get rejected again, I am loosing my time and I can't work!

  5. Hello everyone I entered to the United States with a Visa k1 on July 1st, we prepared the AOS and sent it to Chicago, IL, 60680 PoBOX 805887 on 07/21/2015 via USPS and according to the tracking number it was delivered to the destination on 07/25/2015, today is 08/05/2015 and we did not receive any message or notification from them, I have no idea how long they take to answer but I saw that in many cases people got their NOA1 4 or 5 days after USCIS received the packet, is it a normal delay or should I worry about it?Thanks in advance!

  6. Hello everyone

At last we are in the final step before I get my Visa K1 :dancing: the interview, after 6 months of hard work I must go through the this last instance.

I would like to hear some advices, some personal tips, any kind of recommendation before going to my interview, I am very glad this forum exists, it helped me so much and for sure it will continue helping me while I am in the US. Below I am listing some important points that might affect how the interview flows.

    My Interview
*it will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina less than a month from now
*I am only missing my medical exam which I will get 2 days before the interview date
*My fiancée and I were never married before
    *She is 26, I am 24
*I am unemployed at the moment

    Thanks in advance.

  7. Hello everybody.

I sent the packet 3 checklist with all the items except the medical exam, DHL registration and Visa Fee on April 7, 2015 via mail and still didn't receive an answer from the embassy. I would like to know which is the normal processing time for Packet 3. I am really worried it is my fault since I made a mistake filling the DS-160 online on the e-mail box, I typed "gotmail" instead of "hotmail" but they also asked for and alternative e-mail so I corrected it on that box.

    Thanks in advance!

  8. Hello everyone, soon my fiancee will send the petition for Visa k1, my worry is that I lost my vaccination records, I got most vaccines I believe many years ago in different places but lost that little paper, what can I do? I still have few months before that medical exam and interview so it would be really helpful if someone could give me an advice.

Thanks in advance and happy holidays.

  9. Hello to everyone

My fiancee and I are applying for Visa K1, I live in Argentina, in province of Tucumán. I would like to know if there is anyone who went through this process and know step by step what to do with the paperwork needed for the interview, I know it's different for people that aren't from Capital Federal, I would like to know what papers are needed to present and how to get them, I hope somebody can help me. Thanks in advance.

    Juan

  11. I would love to visit the US but money is the big problem for me, I have only one chance, jump to the pool and hope to find water but anyway... when she goes back to US she should present the form I-129F with the cover letter I suppose and some proofs too? then the main issue "the holy affidavit of support" when do we have to present that? can we present the first form without the affidavit?, she doesn't have a job so obviously there is not affidavit of support but once she is back in the US she's going to find a job and I guess the first month of work would be enough to get the affidavit?

if any of you had this inconvenient please let me know what to do, thanks so much for your answers.

  12. Thanks, I am glad I won't have problems with that, and she is here by my side right now until september 22th when she must return to the US after been 90 days in my country , I have plenty of proofs (pictures from her first visit 2012 and her second visit 2014, chat logs, skype screenshots, bank transactions, flight tickets, letters, recets, etc.) I just have to organize everything.

  13. Hello I am (22) from Argentina (Tucuman) my girlfriend (24) lives in California United states, and we want to get married so we can be together. Although I am the one who wants to move to her country.

My doubt is the next one:

The last time we were together was on 9th August 2012, since then she has been studying and I've been trying to find a decent job. Our plan would be to wait until she gets her BA degree (on May 2014) so she can get a job and submit the "affidavit of support" for the Visa K1, now the problem will be that at this point the date will be almost two years since we met for the first time and I believe it could mess up everything.

We don't apply for the Visa K1 right now simply because my girlfriend is a full time student and she wouldn't be able to find a job that sustain the
    "affidavit of support" requirements.

Probably we'll have to meet one more time to increase this 2 year period and to gain more proof of our relashionship?.

We've been building this relationship for over 3 years already. I am tired of waiting and the main problem is and will be "Money".

Anyway, I would apreciate your experienced and honest advice. I would also like to thank you for all your time to read about this topic.
