  1. Thanks for your response. Yeah, right after I posted this question, I filled out the pre-registration...then saw that it said to print. I just had him print out the email. He was able to finish his medical early (by 9:35AM) and now he is currently at the CFO seminar! smile.png

Good luck with your visa journey! smile.png

    That's great! Way to go!

  2. When did you send in the AOS package? I'm betting you just received a false checklist due to them reviewing and accepting your AOS package. Once NVC opens again, call them to confirm.

No need to re-send the IV package.

Thank you for the reply. I sent the docs and DS 23o 6hr of November. The email from NVC's dated 22nd of November. I just got the thinking the docs I sent are still unopen since I sent it thru snail mail.

  3. Hello everyone!

I already sent my DS230 and civil docs last 6th of November after the PAID status from payment portal (for Immigrant Visa Application). I received an email today from NVC stating that they are waiting for the Application for Immigrant Visa Paper and the corresponding civil docs. I've noticed the difference ATTN addressee from the payment portal covered sheet and the latest that NVC sent me. From the Portal it states on the covered sheet Addresse ATTN CMR whereas from the checklist it is ATTN DR. Do you think it would delay the review and process of my papers? Do I need to send another copy of the civil documents and DS230 but this time the cover letter/sheet from the latest mail i got?

Please if you have the same situation as i have and had done it, let me know.

    Thank you very much.

  4. Yes she need to snail mail it as the NVC would rather have her original signature on it---thus it shouldn't be scanned or emailed. I almost did the same thing to have it scanned but when I received the Choice of Agent paper plus instructions I opted to mail it by post because of the signature thing.

  5. I just left the embassy after my interview. My visa was approved, and I just wanted to thank everyone here on VJ, from those I correct when they're wrong, to those who correct me when I'm wrong. Everyone who contributes their knowledge and experiences that makes VJ what it is; a community that has been absolutely invaluable in the process of uniting my wife and I, and to so many others in similar situations. My appreciation to this community is beyond words, and although my visa journey is over for now, I hope I can continue to give back and contribute from here on.

    Thank you.

Congratulations and happy to know that you will soon be reunited to your family. :D

  6. Hi. Your mom needs to have the typo error change. She needs to check with the local registrar where she is from, apply for changes. The local registrar would then advise her of the supporting documents she needs to submit. The way I understand it, she needs to fill up papers during the process of your petition for her with her names(maiden names, married names) thus she needs to have her BC corrected. I had the same experience and it took me 3 months to have everything corrected and get a copy from NSO with the coorected/changed spellings of mine and my dad's last name.

    Hope this helps.

    Good luck!
