I sent my AOS package 2 weeks ago and still have not received NOA1.How long will it take for me to receive it?I checked with USPS and they have sent it already to USCIS after 3 days.I am pretty worried.Is there a way I can check it online?

Dear vjyers,

I just filed my AOS today.And when I try to check on my Travel Document I made a mistake of checking on the wrong box for Part 2 Application type.I checked on 1.a which says (I am a permanent resident or conditional resident of the US,and I am applying for reentry permit.

I am a K1 visa holder.And I was told by some to file for 1-131 Application for travel Document together with my AOS.This application somewhat confuses me. I have no plans of leaving the country as of the moment but those people I knew who had filed for their AOS told me to just go ahead and file it though,and just put unknown on the intended date of departure instead.

I guess none of those indicated on Part 2 Application type applied to me. Please help.What do I have to check on.

Can I still have it fixed?

Can I have another application for 1-131 sent again without me paying for the travel document fee.I am really confused.

Good day to you all.Now I'm worried ,It's been 10 days since my interview was approved and I still don't have my passport and packet.I wonder what could have happened.I called 2GO Main several times already and tried to check with CEAC website (and it says ISSUED) likewise.Does This issued status means approved.Can I still be denied even if my interview has been approved already.

I would appreciate it very much if you could give me the number to call for the US embassy so I can verify with them.

Great information, LUAN.. Thank you! I don't actually have a quality copy of the I-129F petition that was sent to the USCIS, but I do have a rough copy of it. Hmmm, maybe I should bring that along just in case.

List all employment, even if you quit. The embassy is not going to care if you didn't fill out a resignation form... that is not something the embassy will care about.

What the embassy cares about is that your relationship is real, there is no fraud in pursuing the visa. Employments issues within the Phils ... nope.

as to whether or not to declare it on my DS 157 application form.Would the consular officer take it against me and could it be one reason I'l get disapproved.

I was thinking of just telling about my other jobs.What's your thought on this.Pls. help my interview date is fast approaching.

Ahhhhhhh I see! I just didn't want to arrive at the Embassy only to have the Guard say, "May I have your passports? Also, may I see your Embassy letter with your MNL Number and your name on it; along with your Appointment Confirmation"? I'd faint right there on the spot! hahaha

All I currently have is the Confirmation Page that I printed when I scheduled the appointment online...

So who gets the Appointment Letter; me our my Fiancée? lol

I have received that packet 2 weeks ago.Its a copy of your 1-129 F and an IBIS query report where its indicated that the NVC did a background investigation re your case.There are columns there indicating both of your names, the date when the query/investigation were made (Hit or NO HIT thing).I guess HIT means if they found out something in the course of the investigation and NO Hit if its good.Theres a leaflet included as well which is about domestic violence etc.

I guess they don't really require you to present it to your interview.

Hello veterans... I have a question for you.. I am an American citizen, and my fiance and I sent in our packet for k-1 visa, 1-129F etc.. August 1 2012... it was received and I received a letter in the mail stating they had it and forward it to California center... it is now March 1, 2013... 8 months later and we have heard nothing more.. online it still says processing.. but I am very nervous it got lost or something... any tips, help, advice?! thanks!

Maybe you can try making a service request.

My fiance is a retiree.I want to know what are the documents we need to show the embassy as far as his income is concerned?He's receiving SS pension as well as a regular monthly pay from the state of tn.where he used to work as a Lt. for a corrections facility.

We're waiting for our NOA2 and it's pushing 8 months already.My fiance already called a tier 2 officer and had asked for a service request.The officer told him to wait until March and call them back so my fiance would know our case status.My fiance asked if he will receive a notification in the mail,whatever that would be as answer to the service request made but the guy told him no mail,and we don't need to check the website as it is not at all times updated.Instead my fiance was told to call back March and gave him a specific date.Is that how it is when you ask for a service request?

Would I have a good chance of getting approved if my fiance would be with me during my interview?

I will appreciate it very much your reply.More power!
