  1. Chief, you should go to a registry that has a link with your spouse. I mean a place where her family will be represented fully and ensure you take as many photographs as possible as this is the only evidence that you actually had the wedding. The embassy is very particular about photographs and most times often than not ask questions on people appearing in photographs and their relationship with either you or your spouse

  2. Please for God's sake ensure that your spouse goes with enough photographs spanning over some period of time. I had my interview yesterday through employment based. it was approved and I want to tell you and everryone that the Consular officer was very particular about photographs and that he should not show any sign of nervousness. He should be at the embassy before 6.30am if his appointment is 7am because the 6.30 appointment is given to non immigrant and called first while immigrants of 7am appointment are called almost immediately and infact the two groups are mixed together at the first security check point. It is well

  6. Please if you need to do something in Nigeria, the official price is always quoted but you can be very sure you will not get that document maybe untill the officer in charge of that process has a change of heart or realises that he has punished you enough for your stupidty(for trying to be a law abiding citizen) which may span up to six months or more and the officer will continue to hide either behind the excuse of no stationary to do the job or stock is exhausted. wise up and follow the route that will get you what you want in a time span that will make it useful or else. you will be on your own.

  7. Listen and Listen well. I had to make corrections on my e-passport just this last May 2012 because of a silly mistake an immigration officer did on my passport. instead of inputting 16 on my birthdate, he inputted 06. in short . I had to travel to Abuja for a reissue. it cost me close to 45 thousand naira. I am not trying to scare you. l currently stay in Nigeria and what i am telling you in the real truth. you might be able to haggle and bargain for something less but I am ####### sure it can never be less than 20k Naira and your spouse must be ready to submit the old one with evidences to prove that the error is not a fault of his. it is not like the bussiness as usual thing again. i hope I have not scared you in anyway. Have a great Day.
