hey everybody I got my green card today too. And thought it was weird with the resident since date which is my approval date, and wasnt sure what the deal was but i guess i ll be calling them to correct it i guess, not sure how much it matters. I dont have my old green card anymore since i got the stamp in my passport.

But the card looks fancy almost like my german ID card. 

I thought I was finally done with this process but I ll be around. If anybody has the same issue please update and advice. I will as well.

so I guess I ll be on the approval bus too. I got my approval letter today 3/13/18, notice date is 3/7/18.  They are moving fast now, I didnt expect to hear anything from them since I only mailed out more RFE on the 2/26/18. 

Congrats to everybody that got approved, I m glad to be done with this for the next whatever years lol

Well my husband was active duty and we lived in base housing so we didn't have any utility bills or a lease because it came out of his pay check, I sent a few of those the only bill we had was in my name and that was the internet. I was like 5 months pregnant so I included a letter of my doctor and the ultrasound pictures. some plane tickets of vacations. Pictures of us, car loan docs, car insurance and registration, joint account at sams club, statements of both of our joint accounts.

But since we filed we had 2 address changes because my husband got out of the military, so I gave them the address of my mother-in-law until we found a place and i guess that s the deal. 

so they want me to explain that and want more bank account statements and utility bills and lease agreement. 

I hope it helps you and you will get approved soon.

Updated work around if you cant find Rich Text Editor

1. Make sure you are on the correct thread you want to add the post to.

2. At the top of the thread, you will find a blue button that says "Reply to this topic". Click it.

3. You will see your posting box. You don't need to alter any fonts or colors etc. One of the icons (top right hand side) is the editor options. Once clicked 2 boxes pop up. Make sure "Paste as plain text by default" is unchecked. (First time only. Setting will save)

4. Scroll down the page until you come across the first applicant date list. Copy and paste the list and relevant information and paste it in the editing box above. (I use the right mouse click button to copy text and right mouse click to paste. DO NOT "Paste as plain text" as it may not format correctly).

5. Your information in the editing box should look like the actual post with all lines and hyphens in line with each other.

6. If you are adding your name to the list, you need to add a line. Place cursor at the end of the last line and press enter. This continues the correct font and size. Enter information (your VJ name in CAPITALS) and be careful not to erase any other lines. If you are unsure if you have, click cancel button and start again.

7. To edit hyphens to add dates, find your line with your information on it and delete the hyphens and replace with date.

8. Lastly, if you added your name, make sure you put yourself in the right service center ie, Vermont or California. Remember to change the number of applicants depending on which service center your petition is at.

9. PREVIEW POST. Just to make sure everything looks right before posting. If it looks right, then "Add reply". You're done.

I got my NOA1 yesterday it was dated 09/13/16 i guess it takes over a week for the mail from CA to MT

you definitely have to sign for it not sure if it was DHL or Deutsche Post for me it was the usual mailman. I had my interview last november on a wednesday and had my passport and the sealed envelope back by friday, so 2 days.

They re really nice at the embassy in Frankfurt

if you not have an account yet at CRIS, make one nowish.

Enter that IOE number from ELIS into the CRIS system, a case in your portfolio.

The USPS tracking # is listed in the CRIS system, after you log in and review it, when the tracking # is issued.

Don't see status yet? no USPS tracking # assigned yet - and that's ok - give it a few days.

CRIS account is important, please if you not have one, get one!

hhm I never heard of this one I did check my status and found a tracking number on the uscis website and already received my green card, 1 month and 8 days after POE.

so I was wondering if/where I can find the tracking no. for the green card? According to ELIS my case is closed and the card is produced since last friday. But I never got an email or something from them I was just keep checking my status there.

well you can talked to the military helpline. I'm pretty sure they'll help you . As of the expedite process, I think just a coming up deployment counts as a reason. But since you're overseas, I'm not sure how that works you could do Dcf maybe but since you both reside in different countries so I don't really know cause usually DCF is really quick. ok still have the same question not sure if it was answered.. so my case is being sent to NVC two days ago, so where would I get the updates on my case? im done with USCIS right? no longer will I get updates from that site right? is there a NVC site now that I will see updates? sorry a bit confused for the update emails and messages now

yeah you re done with the uscis, no updates from that site yeah. Well when the NVC gets your case they take a while until they give you a case number until then there is no where to check on the status. Wait another week and then start calling the NVC to see if they got your case it takes them a while to give you a case number.

While you wait I recommend to ready saylin's wiki on the NVC process it is pretty detailed and accurate.

I did exactly what was said there and had no checklist or any trouble and I just had my interview yesterday, got approved and just waiting on my passport with the visa now.

As of the email I would just ignore it since you're already requested your scheduling you should be good.

I was really easy with the interview, even though I was so nervous and sick to my stomach I was a breeze. Got approved yesterday and I still can't believe it.

They're not busy there at all or they re just fast because of the coming up holidays.

That's good. They are really quick at the consulate in Frankfurt . I got my email to request an appointment last monday and I did it right away and since tuesday was veteran's day, they were closed.But I got the request approved first thing wednesday morning and the first available appointment was exactly in a week . So I would say for you the next after you put in the request . Make sure to read the ''how to apply'', the visa interview'' and ''step'' at www.germany.usembassy.gov.

Just got back from my interview and I have to say to was easy, everybody was so nice to me and I got approved yay finally I get to be with my hubby . Thank god! I will post my review later today

The name on the Green Card will correspond to the name on the Visa. You will have to pay a hefty fee if you want to change it.
