  1. Thank you so much for the great details. Yeah I went cheap as I got "P"d off at Orbitz when I went to book her through Japan all the way on Delta. Orbitz showed the famous "One ticket remaining at this price" for two weeks that I watching. 3 different type of segments all ranged from $855 to $940 which I was okay with. UNTIL I filled everything out and received the "Your price has changed" and then $1249. After I tried all three that had the ranges I threw a fit  and went over to cheapoair and booked her for cheaper. She does have a 8 hour layover so her going through the above time wise will not be an issue. I will review your information with her. Many thanks again...

Lesson learned. Stay calm when booking tickets

Good thing she has plenty of time for her layover there to familiarize herself at the airport. Have a safe travel! :)

  2. Hello everyone!

My husband is a great cook :) I've actually taken a liking to tamales, bean salads, etc, that he had grown up with, coming from Texas.

He has also learned how to cook adobo, leche flan, and fried lumpia for me. I must admit I am a newbie compared to him in the kitchen.

I really want him to try more Filipino dishes. But, I also need to learn how to cook them. haha! I've already made pork sinigang and he seems to have liked it.

What other Filipino food/dishes do you think Americans are more likely to eat?

(And please, no dog meat jokes, hehe)

You may also try Chicken Afritada. :) I cooked it last night and my husband loved it. He is also a great cook that's why it's my joy everytime he appreciates my recipe. :)

  3. Remind of the situation héhé

  4. My fiance received a notification from USCIS today. He asked me to check our case status again to see it for myself...there it is Post Decision Activity.....oh my gosh! we are approved without RFE. Just as I am about to lose hope, now I can breathe again. What a sigh of relief!

On September 24, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E).

YOU HAVE IT FINALLY!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :)

  7. Today is our 6 month waiting anniversary....:clock:

Yes baby...6 months of waiting and not seeing each other is so hard. And I admit, if I really don't know what's going on...if we haven't known VJ, perhaps am crying here already day and night. But knowing that we're not alone in this journey just keep us stay composed. And I want to thank you also for your patience hon. Truly, our undying love just keep us encouraging each other to be patient. :)I always feel blessed to have you...a truly understanding person...the best man on earth. Always remember that my love for you gets stronger each day no matter what happen. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, my wonderful, beloved fiance! (L) (L) (L) Missing you soooooooo muchhhhhh!!! Mwahhhh!!!

  8. Yes, I think VSC's list looks much better than CSC's at the moment. I can't complain at all - especially when you consider that Igor's list only includes members of this site. There could be a lot more approvals that we don't see on any given day. Even checking numbers at USCIS only unviels slightly more of the picture. I think there are still a ton of case numbers out there that we have not discovered. It's happening everyone, and our time is coming!

That is truly exciting honey! :):):) I love you dearly and I miss you soooooooooo much, already!!!

  9. Also, Ive been at the USCIS website checking the list of March 7th NOA1 case numbers for I-129F that nargie posted back on page 49 of this thread...

Here are a few statistics: There are 62 cases in that list - four of them are currently in RFE - one of them has been approved already. So, slowly but surely, March is being worked on.

    Keep the faith, everyone!

Thank you so much my beloved sweetheart, for taking your time checking the list so you can give encouragement in here! Yes, we will keep the faith always, baby. I can't wait to be with you already. I love you so dearly, and I miss you so very much already!!! <3<3<3

Good luck and God bless us all, MARCH FILERS! :)

  10. My fiance is going to go to Cebu. The classes start at 2PM every day. How early does she need to get there?

I had my CFO seminar at Saint Mary's-Cebu last August 08. I attended the class in the morning. Since it's first come first serve basis, and they will just get only 10 person for those US POE, it's better to go there as early as 7am, though the seminar will start at 9am. But I think they still will have an afternoon class for those late comer. In addition to the requirements already mentioned, since CENOMAR is not applicable in the US(if single), pay stub will do already as a proof of singleness if it's being mentioned in there. :) Good luck and God bless us all!

  11. Wow! thanks so much for your reply, we'll work on getting a certificate from her place of birth, she lives in manila but she was born in baler, we will work on getting that local bc :) thanks so much!

You're welcome! Good luck and God bless...:)

  12. Hi codythecolt,

I just want to advice based from my experience when I applied my passport last April of this year. Am not sure if your fiancee has her local birth certificate already because if she has, let her check the two (NSO and local birth certificate)if her middle name and mother's maiden name are just reconciled. I mean, the same spelling for "Desucatan" that is in your local birth. I suggested this, because I really encounter problem before, when I apply my passport the first time last April of this year. It's because of ineligibility issue of my NSO birth that the guy in-charge wanted me to secure a local birth certificate and have it authenticated at the NSO before I go back there, at the DFA office. My agony started when I went to NSO office and my request for authentication of my local birth was being rejected due to inconsistency of my mother's name spelling of only one letter when they verified it against their file. My local birth bears the correct spelling of her name which she used and so with my school records that's why I prefer to have my NSO birth be corrected. So, we apply for a correction of entry in our local registrar and pay 1,000.00 for the charge.

And in your fiancee's case, I think she can just use the incorrect spelling of her mother without having a problem at the DFA if it's only reconciled against her local BC, since her mother is deceased already. Anyway, they won't require your fiancee to present her mother's birth certificate. Actually, they only require the NSO birth certificate and they will just ask for a local birth with NSO authentication if it's not readable. :):)

    Good luck!!!
