So, i have had my ROC application in process since Feb of last year(02/2016). While i was waiting for that application, i became eligible to apply for N400. I did that earlier this year. Now, i had submitted an online request as my ROC was out of processing time and i never received a reply from them. When i called them, they said that they did email me the status and the status was that my application was under the background check and it was still going on. The lady on the phone connected me to some higher level officer and she said she would put in another request to see what is going on and i should hear something within 15 days.
Regarding my N400, she said that it is still within processing time of my field which is DC and therefore she can just advise me to wait on that.
That's what's going on with me. Background check is taking longer. For my ROC, the service center is Vermont.

I did a walk in also. Just try to keep a proof ready just in case they ask you why you are doing a walk in. For me, i am traveling the day that my FP is scheduled. Therefore i just kept the itinerary with me just in case but i wasn't asked anything. Usually, if they are busy, then there is a chance they won't let you do it. But if it is not a busy time for them, they don't mind.

The FP date is updated with the date when you actually go get it done. Let us know the appointment date and someone will update it.

I did a walk-in yesterday(Tuesday) afternoon at around 2.45pm and was in and out within 10-15mins. They did not even look at my appointment date.

No update on the ROC status. It still says Case is Received. Submitted a request and was asked to wait for a response by April 21st. Although, i am about to go for my N400 finger prints tomorrow

Just wanted to know if anyone did an early walk in recently at this facility ? I have a scheduled date of April 13th but i have a prior travel plan. Just wanted to know if it's okay if i do an early walk in tomorrow(April 4th) ? Anyone done it recently ? Any good time ? My status says that fingerprints were scheduled yesterday and they have mailed me the instructions. I wanted to know if i can go do the fingerprints earlier than the scheduled date ? Anyone who has done that from around DC? I am in Fairfax to be exact.

I haven't received my 10yr GC yet. Now my license expires soon and was wondering if I can renew the license using my i551 stamp or the N400 NOA ? Any ideas ?

If your notice date is before the new date posted on the website, I believe you shouldn't wait for the N400 to be delivered and just go ahead and file it. You should give them a call and speak to a tier-2 officer and tell them you're outside of normal processing time and you haven't heard anything.
Brilliant. I will call them. I tried submitting it online and it keeps giving me the below error :
"You must select the Form Number associated to your Receipt Number. The Form Number you selected does not match our records for that Receipt Number. "
Last time it did this, i called them and they said that it was because it was still under normal processing time. Hopefully, this time they can do something. Cheers

I believe i can file a service request also. Although, i just sent my package for N400 on Wednesday after seeing that they were processing December 28, 2015 at VSC. Should i still file a service request now that my N400 is delivered to them ?

I do have the documents i sent for those K1 and AOS. I will look through it. And i had no idea or ever heard about SSS until i started filing up the N400 Form. Cheers Guys.
Issues with DS-260 IV Application

Hello folks, I am in need of some suggestions for this irritating problem i am facing.
I have filed for my parents to bring them over to the USA and as of now, i am unable to fill the DS-260 online. I am stuck at the previous US travel screen. As soon as i fill in the information, and hit save or next, the app crashes and gives me an error "Application Error has occurred".
This happens for both my mom and my dad's application.
I have tried different browsers, different machines, different IP addresses as well, and nothing worked.
Any guidance will be helpful and greatly appreciated.
I have paid all the fees required so far, and was able to successfully fill out the AOS. It's the IV application (DS-260) that is causing issues.
