  1. Asslam you must have wedding pics if the nikkah was all male the consulate doe not care about that event. They care about the wedding event so you must mention the wedding date and you MUST have pictures of you and your spouse together and it would be better that if possible if the pictures have date marks on them. you should have couple pics of you two with the family and at other places you traveled together believe me I have read a lot of reviews of Pakistan consulate and they are tough so the more strong evidence you show of a couple the easier your life will be. Believe me my wife failed her interview for not having pictures so if you do not have good pictures of you two together then do not bother applying until you have it

  2. hi there my vj friends the us consulate in nairobi had emailed my attorney in regards to the date change for my wifes interview it was originally september 5,2012 now it is october 3,2012. i emailed the embassy a week ago asking for an expedited appointment because i am in kenya with my wife and wanted to be there for her interview before i return back to the states for school on the 6th of september but they said they were fully booked and to come on her original date..... a week later I receive this news today that they have changed it...please help me anybody how to get my appointment kept the same date or earlier then october i really want to be there and come back with my wife is she is approved inshallah....

I am not sure if the date change has occured because of a riot occuring in mombasa where i am currently located and traveling is a bit dangerous now. I have not read any travel warnings on the us travel or consulate website in this regards.....please if anyone has had a date change for the kenya consulate let me know because i am totally depressed right now

  3. hi there you have come to the right place my friend ok the first thing is you will need to show what you of course have available and most of the things you mentioned above are not what they are looking for in regards to etablishing a bonafide relationship things which you should try to make sure you have are as follows

    1. skype video or phone call records

    2. email messages you have sent to each other

3.all the flight itineraries and if available tickets itself when he or you visited each other

    4. regarding the cell phone service which is on your farthers name that is not a problem just get the phone records printed out from the last couple months of your phone line( number)only and type a sepreate page stating the number which you would call to reach him and of course you will need to highlight that number you would call on the phone record if you had used multiple numbers in the past just right them all down on that seprate page

5.of course make sure to provide those wedding photos plus family photos which you have and photos of family as well

    6. wedding video is a must they because they could hold you up just for that believe me go there with the notion knowing that they dont want to help you but rather provide a reason to deny you with this attitude you will make sure to have all the papers you never thought you could get

    7. any monthly stipends which you had sent him showing you were supporting him in anyway

8.. my last advice to you is that you must remember that the us consulate in every country or the uscis for that matter doesnt give a dam about bringing loved ones together..... there job is to try and find out if there is. true relationship or is it for immigration benefits etc! so i am telling you right now there might be a little pain and sweat and probably even tears that might have to come out but you must i repeat must provide at the least all i have mentioned above and of course more evidence if possible do not stress on the house or utility things to much they understand to a degree he is a new immigrant and is being supported at the moment so focus on bringing evidence that shows you two are for real by the way that doesnt mean racy pictures lol just keep it pg13

  4. hi there my vj friends my wife has her interview in september, she has failed her interview before 2 years go when it was a k1 now it is for cr1. I am hoping things go well this time around inshallah. My concern here now is in regards to the interview questions that are common which is

1 where does your husband live ?

2 where do you( the beneficirary) intend to stay upon your arrival in america?

unfortunately my attorney had typed the address for both of these conpletely wrong. on the ds 230 which they already have now. the address he provided is where i go to schooland get my mail. that is not the address Which is on my license for I live in NY and the address provided is in IL

should i get it fixed by him and summit it to the us consulate in Nairobi before my interview or should i print it out and have my wife summit to them and inform them of the mistake before she gets interviewed? because if she doesnt do anything or say anthing and they ask her these questions she will get it wrong......please help me anyone who went through this please....dont want her to fail because of a mistake my lawyer made and after i informed them about the mistakes they just said tell them its wrong when you get there which i totally think will not be exceptable to an embassy which is hard as these guys in Nairobi.

  5. Hello, I suggest you bring your relationship evidence since the time you had your first interview in Nairobi - meaning that you should show proof of an ongoing relationship since that time, i.e., phone call logs, emails, handwritten letters, etc., and you don't need to show every single email or phone call, just some from the beginning (from when you were denied in 2010), some from 2011, and some from 2012. You can double side everything as well. You should bring pictures of you two together, several pictures from your wedding, and pictures of you both with family members. You should bring copies of your Marriage Certificate even though it was part of your I-130, and you should also bring your own copy of that as well (even though the Embassy already has it). Organize your evidence in neatly organized folders so if your wife is asked for something, she can just simply pull it out and hand it over. Tell her to be confident and always look the Consular Officer in the eyes regardless of whether or not the CO is looking at her or typing on their keyboard. Tell her not to forget to put on her wedding rings :P (I sometimes do because I don't sleep with them B-) )

It's been two years since your first interview, and now you are married and still together...you shouldn't have any issues I would hope. It's good you are there with your wife...she should bring your passport with her to the interview to show that you are there with her and that you are "waiting outside" for her. Even though you will not be allowed into the Consulate Section, you should be allowed to wait outside if you can sweet talk the guards at the entrance of the Embassy  I managed to get all the way in, but then was snarled at to go and wait outside on the dusty seats, lol. You should be able to at least do that. Regardless, go with your wife to the Embassy no matter where you end up waiting.

I wish you the best of luck. It's a really tough Embassy, and I give you a lot of credit for sticking together and loving each other enough to start the process all over again and WAIT all over again...that takes strength and courage. Of course, we would have done the same, although I don't think I would have kept my sanity...I honestly don't.

God bless your upcoming interview. I wish you nothing but the best. :star:(F):)

i have everything organized in a binder very well with table of contents and dividers, but I have read alot of reviews that i should not have anything in a binder because it will not fit through the window in the first place and that embassy doesnt like seeing binders in general. How should i arrange it .? in a see through folder?i f so then she will have 5 diffrent folders which i believe even looks worse to be carrying around plus my binder is no bigger than 1 150 page spiral notebook

  6. Hi there my fellow friends of VJ. my wife has her interview at the Nairobi consulate in September. She was denied her fiancee visa back in 2010 because we didnt have pictures of us two together (non- bonafide relationship), so I reapplied for her in July 2011 as my wife after getting married in June of 2011. Now she will be going back after almost 2 years for her interview as my wife. The best part this time is that i am here with her in Kenya. please anyone give me any advice that would help in making sure we have a successful interview inshallah

  7. asslamualakium brother she will need to go to the somali embassy in nairobi where she will pay 120$ and get a new somali passport made it takes about 1 month. i had recently gone through this for my wife. you must make it in order for the nvc to proccess your case or you will be delayed the us embassy does not except just the alien crd and yes they know where and how she got it but they really cant do anything about it because they need a passport number to go along with the visa

  8. I am at the nvc stage and going to send i-864, but I am going to med school now and resigned from my job (income zero) so my brother is going to be the joint sponsor.

I am the primary sponsor and filling i-864, I am also filling out i-864A which is the contract that my brother will support and all that. But the question is, does my brother need to fill out a seperate i-864? I have asked NVC but havent heard anything yet

Or my brother fills out i-864 only? if that, then he will become the only sponsor?

    Thanks

you will need to fill one out regardless and yes your brother is required to fill out an entire 864 himself, my sister had to do the same for me few months back as welll sent my docs to the nvc and had no problem oh and he will include other documents as will related to his income liike last 3 payment stubs his 2011 w2 form and a job letter from his employer stating how much he makes annually and that he is currently employed with them. the link for job letter i just mentioned is on the uscis website
