If you want to work during the processing of your AoS then you will require an I-765.
If you do not, you don't.
It is free though, so there is essentially no downside to applying.
I read the filing free was $380??

My wife and I are currently getting my AOS package ready and we are not sure if we need to file form I-765. I have worked legally in the US and have a social security number with a DHS restriction. Please help. I am in the US with a F1 Student Visa.
Thank you.

Thank you.
So in the form I-130 what should the answer be for section C question 14.
Date authorized stay expired, or will expire, as shown on form i-94 or i-95?

Is that the day you entered the states? Doesnt it also say D/S?

My I-94 has only the date I last got it, Feb. 25 2012 and my i-20 is still valid.

I am a F-1 Visa holder and just graduated from college this summer. I have been married to a US Citizen for almost three years but we are barely applying for Adjustment of status. While my I-20 is still current, my I-94 is expiring in seven days. We are currently filling out the paper work and haven't gotten my medical examination. Is there a problem if we file after my I-94 has expired? My I-94 doesn't have an expiration date printed on it, but I now while in school I was supposed to renew it every six months. Please help me out with this.
Have not heard back from USCIS
in Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas

I am applying for AOS through marriage (from F1 visa). My package was delivered to the lockbox location a week ago and I haven't heard back from them. I did fill out the form to be notified via Email and text message. I have looked at time lines and it doesn't usually take this long. Did anyone go through the same anxiety? Is it normal for them to take this long? I would appreciate the community's feedback.
