    hi

i am a December filer and i have a question about the N400 application.

I am married to a US citizen, have been in US for 4 years(L1) and a permanent resident for the past 3 years.

** In the N400 application, part 7 A: How many total days did you spend outside the US in the pst 5 years?

I am confused about this calculation since i have only been leaving in the US for 4 years . Please advise

** How many trips of 24 hrs have you taken outside the US in the past 5 years?

Again i am confused since i have only spent the past 4 years in the US.

Any advise you can provide is highly appreciated!

    Thank you all

  2. I just re-entered the US: my green card expired on Dec 15th 2012 and I had my AOS with me; i left for the Holidays and flow back to the US yesterday at DFW airport in TX. The immigration officer sent me to the immigration room and explained that everytime i will re-enter the US until i get my 10 years GC, i will have to go in the immigration office in order to get approved and admitted.

I just wanted to let you all know that even if we have the AOS, we have to add extra time in order to travel / change plane..

  3. hello September filers! i am putting together the i-751 packet that i will be able to submit on September 15th to the Vermont office:

    List:

-Copy of front and back of his green card and passport

    -Check for $590

-Tax return from 2010 and 2011

-Rent contracts from 2009 and 2010

    -Morgage contract2010 and refinance 2011

    -Car title

    -House and car insurance

-life insurance beneficiary for me and my husband

-Bank statements showing 1 joint account

    -Plane tickets and itineraries

-three affidavit from my husband father, his sister in low and a friend.

    -photos of trips and wedding

Do you think it is sufficient or need to add more documentation?

I have not received any reminder from USCIS that my filing is due, while i read that several others have received them.

    Thank you!

  4. All, first time i post on this site and not sure if this is the correct location for the tread, so apology in advance if it is not.i have the following questions and hope you guys can help:

1- I will have to file i-751 on Sept 15 2012, and i have not received the letter from USCIS yet. I read that almost everybody received a reminder letter. Last year i changed address and updated the new address online. Should i have done anything else? When you change the address the tool asks if you have any applications pending and i assume i had not since i already had my conditional green card. Is there a way to check if the USCIS has the correct address?

2- At the end of the greencard interview, i remember that after stamping my passport, the agent, gave me a paper with my A# and said that in case i needed a new greencard or when it was time to file the i-751, i should have added this paper in order to expedite the request.. I have not heard anybody mentioning anything in any tread about this.. so i am wandering if i misunderstood (it was a long long day and it was 2 years ago)..

many thanks in advance for your help!
