  1. Thanks for all the responses, of course it wasn't what I was wanting to hear but I still appreciate all the replys. Now my question is will we be able to get married as soon as the judge gives her approval at the final hearing or do we have to wait until she has clearance from the NSO? If all else fails I am going to try and get her a tourist visa for next summer or hopefully for two months. She is 46 and she has 3 kids and property over here so is it wishful thinking that she will get a tourist visa or do we have a reasonable chance? Thanks again

  2. I'm in agreement with everyone else on why you should not send anything in just yet, but I'm also wondering since you are in the Philippines why not wait until the annulment is finalized and get married there? Then submit the I130 instead of I129f once you're back. WOW DIDNT EXPECT SO MANY REPLIES BUT I APPRECAITE THEM ALL!!! I once asked about the difference in doing the K-1 vs the K-3 and everyone has said to do the K-1 but I agree with you that since Im here for the winter I should do the K-3 but now my question is are we able to get married as soon as the judge grants the anullment so we can get started with our I-130?

  3. Hello everyone,

My fiance and I are here in the Philippines waiting for her anullment. The judge has asked for one more hearing (we were sure the one in August would be the last). I have my I-129F application ready to send in but I just need her anullment papers. I was wondering if I could go ahead and send them in now and tell them she will bring her anullment papers with her to the interview. We have been almost two years working on this and it looks as if this is only a formality now. My thinking is that we would either get to take them to her interview or it would generate a RFE but at least we would have our process started. Any response would be appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Richard and Mercie

  4. I thought i read somewhere that I need to send in 4 copies of form G-325. Does anyone know about this? I was also wondering about proof of being single, I have my divorce papers but we are waiting for her anullments papers to be sent and I was thinking I could send in the application and have her take the anullment papers to her interview or send them on later. I would appreciate any input on this.

    Thanks,

    Richard

  5. Hello everyone from the Philippines. I met my lovely fiancee two years ago in the Philippines and I have been back twice to see her. We have lived together for almost 8 months. Her anullment should be completed by the end of August and Im heading back to the Philippines on Sept 1st and intend to stay for at least six months. My question is would it be better to get married as soon as I get there on do the K-1 visa? It seems like it would be simpler to get married as soon as I get there vs giving a letter on intent to marry when she comes. I am only looking at what makes the most sense and hopefully we can be back in the states by next March or April.

    Thanks,

    Richard

  6. Hello everyone,

This really seems like a good site for help! I have been going with a lady from the Philippines for almost two years now. We are just about to get her anullment completed. I have lived with her in the Philippines for almost a year but I am now back in the states. I am preparing my K-1 application and I want to be sure I have everthing that they want from me the first time I send it. I have been married twice and I am sending a copy of the divorce papers. I'm guessing she would need to fax her anullment to me so I can send it also. I dont think it asked for these papers, the only thing I see on the application is the dates and place of divorce. Do I need to send in last years income taxes? I have a small ranch that is paid for but I dont show alot of income because I have alot of deductions, is this ,going to be a problem? I am from Colorado and not sure which office to send my application to and not sure what the fees are as I have heard they have changed. I would appreciate any help I could get as I leave for the Philippines on the 1st of September.

    Thanks,

    Richard
