Thank you everyone! I'm not proud of my 'jealousy,' and certainly not trying to compete...just can't help thinking sometimes that since I got engaged first, I should be able to enjoy it first too! In a perfect world.

You all give good advice, to think about the happiness to come.

And haha, Darnell -- not possible!! I have responsibilities and obligations. Self-discipline keeps me from flying off...just wouldn't be the right move for us right now. We're very close to the end, we have to hang in there.

I like your "count-ups" Joy.

So my fiance and I got engaged in December 2011 and started our K-1 visa soon after.

In the time since we got engaged, at least 6 of my childhood friends and classmates have gotten both engaged AND married (pretty quick engagements, apparently).

I keep seeing their announcements "We're engaged!" "We're married!" "Boarding the plane on our honeymoon" on Facebook and every time I get just a little more bitter toward them!! >.<

Not only am I engaged and watching them all pass me by, but I can't even be near my sweetheart! It's a lonely engagement when you live far away from each other...

Anyway...just wanted to complain....maybe some of you can relate.
