  2. Hi everyone,

I applied for green card through marriage to a US citizen on May 21 along with my EAD. I asked for my EAD to be expedited as I had a job offer and wanted to start employment ASAP. I called the National Benefits Center; they asked for an evidence and I faxed them my offer letter. I also asked my local congressman to help, and on June 20th, the EAD status went from "Initial Review" to "Card Production." From reading different threads it appears that I should've also received an email/text alert with this update - some received multiple emails/texts indicating the card is in production and another one indicating that approval notice has been mailed.

FYI I received my NOA via email and text so I assumed I will also get email/text alert. Let me know if anyone has had similar experience where you didn't get any email/text notice and just EAD in the mail.

And it looks like from reading everyone's timeline that they get EAD card in hand within 10 days or so after they get the notification email/text. Let me know if anyone has had to wait for 30 days?

    Thanks for your help!

The same thing happened to us, we saw EAD card in production, but no text or emails either. You'll get a message on the USICS website that you card is going to be mailed out by USPS and a tracking number. Took about a week. Congrats!!!

  3. Thanks for the info guys. We ventured to the SSA and they updated the status in their computer. The person who helped us said that she wasn't sure if it is going to remove the "work authorization with DHS approval" on the new card, but we should get a new card in the mail in about a couple of weeks. So we'll see. I agree it was a good idea to update status with SSA, so that potential employers won't have any problems when they check the SSN.

Thanks guys for the helpful info.

Now I guess we wait and wait for the green card.
