We had received the letter at the end of August.
Yes, hopefully your GC will get approved soon.

Hey! CONGRATS and welcome to the community! Your case is soo fast...good for you.
-
We hadn't checked the USICS website forever and just happened to check today and voila! Card in production.
We had received an interview waiver letter and just thought okay, we'll just wait til it gets done. It was a nice surprise for sure.

Wow...they are still sending those letters out huh...I did received one of those letters dated 2nd August 2013, stating my interview might be weived and could be another six months wait from the date of this letter...welll i hope its wont take that long
Good luck to everyone... keep me posted..
Good news too everyone...I started working since the 2nd August 2013....and now have a permanent job...
Congrats on your employment!!
and looks like we are all in the same boat, at least we are in good company.

We just received a notice of potential interview waiver, guess that means we may or may not be interviewed, but the letter says for sure that our AOS won't be approved for another six months from the date of the letter due to workload delays.

My husband EAD/AP was approved at the beginning of June, but we haven't yet received any letter notifying us of an interview or otherwise. It's been silence. The status on USICS still shows acceptance and hasn't budged. I would've rather had an interview and then approved on the spot!

We are still waiting on the GC but life goes on anyways. Finding a job has been challenging also. We'll keep waiting, we don't have a choice. Good luck everyone!

My experience was just show them the combo card and passport, they will take you to secondary, and everything was fine. I left the country shortly after I got my combo card, I think all they care about is you married before 90 days, and the card is legit.
-
Oh man that really sucks for you. It would've been nice if the USICS mentioned to you to include the sponsor's birth certificate as well. Sorry this has happened to you.
-
I would also send them the original certified marriage certificate.
-
I think it's fine to renew at the post office. Bring your new passport photo or some places even take them there.
-
Yeah! Congrats to you!

Congrats to you guys!

sounds like you have plenty.

your attorney most likely has your RFE, so check with them.

Hi everyone,
I applied for green card through marriage to a US citizen on May 21 along with my EAD. I asked for my EAD to be expedited as I had a job offer and wanted to start employment ASAP. I called the National Benefits Center; they asked for an evidence and I faxed them my offer letter. I also asked my local congressman to help, and on June 20th, the EAD status went from "Initial Review" to "Card Production." From reading different threads it appears that I should've also received an email/text alert with this update - some received multiple emails/texts indicating the card is in production and another one indicating that approval notice has been mailed.
FYI I received my NOA via email and text so I assumed I will also get email/text alert. Let me know if anyone has had similar experience where you didn't get any email/text notice and just EAD in the mail.
And it looks like from reading everyone's timeline that they get EAD card in hand within 10 days or so after they get the notification email/text. Let me know if anyone has had to wait for 30 days?
Thanks for your help!
The same thing happened to us, we saw EAD card in production, but no text or emails either. You'll get a message on the USICS website that you card is going to be mailed out by USPS and a tracking number. Took about a week. Congrats!!!

my hubby AOS interview got approved today...hooray
USCIS website under...Decision
On June 18, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status.
CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!!! YOU MUST BE SO RELIEVED!!!

You should answer the RFE with the correct physical address that they are asking for. Did you move or something because you mention that something was lost in the mail (not sure if Green Card or EAD) b/c as other members said that it's most likely EAD and not Green Card that was approved and mailed out to you.
good luck!!

I agree with TnJ. I applied for a new card two weeks ago. It hasn't come in the mail yet though.
We got the new SSN card but it still says the same thing. Oh well, at least it'll be updated in their system.

My husband now has a driver permit and has a behind the wheel driving test in a couple of weeks. He can't wait to get his license!
-
Thanks for the info guys. We ventured to the SSA and they updated the status in their computer. The person who helped us said that she wasn't sure if it is going to remove the "work authorization with DHS approval" on the new card, but we should get a new card in the mail in about a couple of weeks. So we'll see. I agree it was a good idea to update status with SSA, so that potential employers won't have any problems when they check the SSN.
Thanks guys for the helpful info.
Now I guess we wait and wait for the green card.
-
I think it's wise for you guys to wait until after the dam hoi to file, that way you'll have two trips as supporting evidence. Good luck and best wishes to you guys!
-
It should take about 60 days but if you have an interview scheduled and get approved then you'll just get green card first, no need for EAD then!
-
EAD/AP card received today! So happy, now we'll tackle the DMV next!
Btw, should we go to social security and get a new card without the employment restriction on it?
