this is the 9th month that we have been waiting for the Administrative processing to be finished and completed. My wife and I have been really getting frustrated with the amount of support we are getting from the US embassy, as they are completely helpless in assisting us how much longer would it take for the AP to be finished. Does anyone know how long it usually takes (on an average) for AP to be completed in the UAE region?

Ive got a reply to my email from Abu Dhabi Embassy that ' The admin processing is still pending in this case. You must continue to check the website'. Does it mean that the admin processing has not even started till now or does it mean that its still in process and i have to wait??? Can anyone assist??

I dnt know how to complete timeline...but anyway, my case has been re - applied, as my wife withdrew the whole petition last year by saying that we r getting separated and after like 8 months, she decided to work things out with me and re - applied the whole petition.

that may very well be the reason for your AP - the previous petition being withdrawn - and reinstated I personally see that as a "red Flag" I wish you luck - hopefully the UAE AP will move along quickly.

well bro it depends ur travel history too. i saw a vj member got aprroved on cr1 vis frm abu dhabi embassy.. i really dont knw exact how ap thing works, in some cases they already make decision before a person appear for an interview...dont worry bro InshaAllah soon you will get ur visa

I know that it could be many reasons but if its the name check and / or background checks, then that shoudl've been done before my interview, since i provided them with all my personal infor; i.e., passoprt copy n birth certificate and history of all my life...

Hi all, ive been put into AP since July 1, 2013, as that was my interview date. The CO didnt tell me any time frame of its completion but its been over 6 wks and still its showing the same status. Can anyone tell me when could it be finished and also im not sure the reason for me being put in AP!!! its so annoying

An uncommon name is better than a common one, for AP purposes.

Just try to relax and be patient, brother. 2 days is really nothing compared to what most cases take to finish, even without any complications. The AP process can easily take several weeks, even several months - it's not unusual and it's nothing to worry about. Abu Dhabi is one of the smaller consulates, it's not known as a high-fraud consulate, and it's not nearly as busy as in some of the other MENA countries. I know it's veryyyy difficult not to be worrying about your case - everyone feels like this. But there's nothing more you can really do at this point but just wait. So try to keep your mind on other things and the time will go faster. And remember that most cases come through successfully. Insha'allah yours will be completed very soon.

OK then - it looks like you have submitted everything that they requested. The AP can easily take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months or even more, but this is all within the range of normal APs in a MENA consulate. They have to do a lot of name and security checks which can take a while, especially if you have a very common name, etc. I know it's disconcerting to be left in limbo, but it's just how the process works. Wishing you the best of luck for a speedy completion to your case.

yes, i told them about everything. i even took the pictures and her boarding pass and all but they never asked me for them. they were only interested in my verbal communication. and i told them that after the resubmission of the case, we met twice already; the last time being june 8th 2013.

This makes your chances of getting a relationship visa appear quite low.

Anything is possible! So don't give up! Are you sure your wife can do it this time? I think you both need to be prepared to answer a LOT of questions, because now they are probably going to be asking some serious questions about why it was stopped the first time. Plus you are going to have to prove even more why this marriage will work and be taken seriously. Your wife may need to write a letter explaining her decisions with total honesty.

Going through this process and being away from our loved ones is just so hard, that some people get to stresed and may think giving up is easier. So try and be strong and supportive of her. Is there anyway she can come visit you during this waiting game? It would probably help her!

It will run about the same as any other case but will be examined closely for why you stopped then changed your mind. Cover that area well.

I agree with NigeriaorBust. It will take about the same time. Get your bases covered was your partner just overstresed with the whole thing or maybe finances were not best to apply? If they ask just be totally honest and insha'Allah things will work out for the best soon for you both!

and how long will it take to re - apply? i mean is it going to take longer than before, since the case was withdrawn before and is being resubmitted....
