I thought it would maybe be longer, but yes, you never know what might happen down the road with the deferred action.

it's not citizenship, it's residency. you will get a Green Card and become a Legal Permanent Resident. you still have years to go to get citizenship after GC.

the deffered action isn't worth it.

I'm about to send out my application for Adj of Status and everything that goes with it.

Yesterday I found out about the Deferred Action Imm. Program, which I fall under!

Now I'm not sure which I should do. I know the Deferred Program doesn't guarantee

citizenship but I think that I'll receive my EAD faster then going through the whole application process for AOS, EAD and then citizenship.

I'm thinking of applying through the Deferred Program and later on slowly reapply for rest, if possible.

Just looking for some opinions!

The more I think about it, I think I'd rather wait for my citizenship....

The last thing I need is the laws changing in the future and screwing me :/

Im not against about this whole dreamers issue! But i was wondering what is going to happens with all this kids after the 2 years of parole ends? President Obama granted them EAD for 2 years! Then what? Their option would be: be deported or keep living as ilegal imigrant. Is bul$&@ to think they ALL gonna get visas based in work and jobs in order to keep them in here in legal terms. Im not against Obama, i moved in to the US 4 month ago, and i havent live here enough to make a well documented and think opinion, but from my point of view, it wasnt a smart move. When you take this kind of desicions, you need to think in long term. They are happy now, but then? People said he do as a strategic move to gain voters in latins community, but if he did it for those reasons, are really bad reasons to do it. Im immigrant also, a legal one, and i cant help feel sorry for all the people who is struggeling with ilegal immigration. Hope they would find a real solution for them

I believe this is a way for the country to make up for their debt. The more people work now, the more taxes are coming in...just my opinion.

Hey ya'll! I have a quick question.

Will my credit history effect my AOS app?

My credit hasn't built up ever since my EAD expired. Do they even care or look...or judge? I'm so nervous that I won't be eligible to be the "perfect" resident.
