Most doctors can do a culture to positively identify if you have rubella (german measles) and it might be wise to identify it. If it is positive for rubella then I'm sorry to have to say this but you should call, tell them that you have german measles and ask them what to do.

Though most people go through the rash phase within 3 days to a week, adults usually have a more difficult time, and at any rate you should consider yourself infective (and dangerous, especially to pregnant or potentially pregnant women) for two weeks AFTER the rash disappears. (Note: Various agencies consider 7 or ten days but many consider infectivity to last for two weeks see:

They may say simply come if the rash has been gone five or seven days or two weeks. The problem is if you go during a time that you are infective you could infect others. Though german measles are not a problem for most people it is potentially deadly for pregnant women. If you go and they feel that you are potentially still infective you will be sent away immediately.

The longest time you will be "sent away" will be two weeks after all symptoms are gone.

There is NO medication for viral rubella (german measles) the only thing that is usually presribed is acetaminophen (paracetemol).

no, you wont have any problem with that. You just have to tell them honestly about vaccines you received in the past, and serious diseases you had before. The important part in the slec exam is having a clear chest xray. because if they saw something abnormal in your xray film, they will have you undergo sputum exam for 3 days. And they still have to culture it and the result is after 2 months.

It could be viral exanthem. It usually resolves after a week or 10 days. So if your exam is like 10 days from now, it's probably resolved by then. Go to a Dr tomorrow and ask for medication.

im really worried now because i think i have german measles... My joints hurts so bad and i got rashes on my body, more on the back.. im worried because suppose to be my medical next week but since something bad happened i don't know how long i need to wait to go on my medical.. my concern is about if they will make me wait for months or something... i will appreciate your replies ... thanks in advance!
