I've received the approval notice today. Request for removal of conditions was approved 7/16/2015.

That's a huge relief, especially since my biometrics was so late.

I finally received biometric appointment for 6-09-15.

After waiting for almost 3 months we called USCIS on May 11. Received the NOA with biometric appointment last Friday. Today found another letter from USCIS in the mail. Turned out to be confirmation of "service request" and another biometric appointment. To me looks absolutely the same as the first one - both issued on May 26; the same date, time and place of biometrics; same application number. May be the printer ink is a little brighter )

I am going to bring both letters to the biometrics for them to decide which of NOA is more original.

My fiance has a travel visa and visited me in August. She returned to Russia and we have now filed an I-129F. Will her visa be automatically frozen, or should she be able to visit as long as it is valid? Thank you.

Masha's travel visa is valid till it expires or till she receives her K1 visa - what comes first. Until then she can visit you on her travel visa.

I am visiting my fiance right now. Though we were strongly recommended not to. We got RFE after more then 4 months of waiting and figured it could be another month of waiting for it to be looked at. So I booked the tickets for October 29 for a 10-days visit. We got NOA2 on 25th of October - in 3 days after USCIS received our reply to RFE. We did not succeed in changing the dates of the trip so decided to take our chance. POE was Minneapolis. Officer at the passport control asked what was the purpose of visit. I said that I was going to visit friends. Officer asked to specify what friends. And I told that it would be my fiance, his family and his friends. He asked were my fiance was right then. Then he asked if my fiance was living with me in Russia. Asked about marriage date. I told that K1 visa was being processed. Then he asked me confirm when was my last trip to America. And that was it. Did not take more then 5 minutes. I had the copy of NOA1 and RFE with me. Did not need any of them. Everyhting went fast and smooth. Called my fiance to go to the airport to pick me up because I had one more connecting flight to make.

Hope my story would make you more confident if you decide to plan the visit.

you better call the USCIS if it sounds weird.

We did call. Lady said she did not know what that meant. But since there was A-number on the form she suggested to consider it good news.

Hi everyone

We've got RFE without any request at all and I am so confused now.

USCIS website states that our case is suspended until they receive the response to RFE or the opportunity to submit expires.

However in the mail we got back the origianl of my USC fiance birth certificate that he attached to the petition along with all the passport pages copies. And there is just a short notice - "Enclosed are original documents you submitted with your petition. Your petition is now being reviewed and you'll be notified when the decision is made."

Mail address and name was hand written with red ink on this form.

We've been waiting for NOA2 for 4 months already and instead of clear instructions we got a puzzle.

It looks like we are not supposed to respond. But RFE is dated October 01. What if "opportunity to submit expires"?

Should we send them that notice back or should we just wait for USCIS to make another move?

Or may be RFE is just the only form USCIS can send anything to the applicant?

There is russian website where Masha can find information about vaccination and medical exams in particular and all other aspects of K1 visa in general. There is section where lady from certifyed medical center answers all the questions.

If Masha had varicella, mumps, measles or rubella in her childhood she still can have immunitet which can be checked by blood test for antibodies. But I was told that American doctors do not trust Russian clinics for results and can make you do it again for AOS.

TD is supposed to be done periodically. So Masha can get it during her medical exam.
