  2. my fiancee had her last culture test at 5 months also and she has about 1 week of the 6 month dot left and then we have to wait 1 more month for her results from the culture test she will have to redo the medical after the resuts come back and we have to pay for the medical agian but i am confident she will pass this time the 6 month dot is really 9 months for us what a long wait but no matter what happens she is going to be healthy and be able to live a full life knowing she is cured

  3. You can re-take the medical exam when the final Culture results are available. You'll have a final Culture taken and tested when the last DOT treatment is near completion. My wife had her final Culture taken the week before her last DOT treatment. SLEC will call you when the test results are ready, and they will tell you to come in for the medical exam. Really depends on when they take your last culture sample, then waiting the 2 months for the results.

Just some FYIs: You'll have to pay for the exam again. When you pass, SLEC will schedule your interview at the USEM. They should give you the appointment print-out (the one with the bar code). You will need that paper when you go for your interview.

thank you very much for your reply so really the 6 month dot is about 9 months for us then this is such a long wait now i have to find out about everything that has expired during this time thanks agian
  4. Juliet and I got the bad news bout 3 and a half weeks in...almost 4...any early call will be bad news. After 6 weeks all should be ok

this is not true my fiance was called 3 days before her date to call and she went in thinbking she was ok but she was tested positive so we are doing the 6 month treatment right now we have 2 more months to go and she took another sputum test about 1 month ago and was negative but we still have to wait for the 6 months so i really dont think there is a safe time untill after the date your told to call sorry

  5. One more item I would like to share. When I moved back from the RP in August 2011 I really had no real plan to marry my fiancee. We dated, she stayed with me some while I lived there but once I waited to make sure upon my return. I can say proudly I feel more in love with her and our bond increased even more being apart. We skype daily, watch tv and share EVERYTHING. She is now my best friend. Hands down the best. And from a maturity standpoint talk to both of us to figure out who is older. She is educated and light years ahead of her age in terms of thoughts and being a wife. She is awesome. And the best thing about all this is...... (drum roll please)........... By the time she goes through menopause and starts acting goofy I will be too old to give a rats a _ _ :wow: I can't believe he said that :ot2:

this is good i am in the same situation i have a much younger fiance we will get married because we love each other and i think your right about the menopause :)

  6. sorry about the status of your marriage. not all Filipinas are like that. i feel ashamed that someone from my race could treat anyone like that most especially her husband. it's because of cases like this that the USCIS is becoming stricter. isn't it ironic for instance to have your petition approved fast, pass the interview with no issues and then when you enter the land of milk and honey, and marry the petitioner, you suddenly turn into a complete stranger, who does not know how to compromise. i assure you that not all of us are like that - cunning and predatory. when we love someone sincerely we do so with a passion, and we will do anything for our loved one. again sir pls accept my apologies in behalf of my fellow filipinas who might be put in a bad light because of what happened to you and your wife. may God bless you.

these are very nice words i think they come from your heart,i also worry about this happening to me even tho we get along great now while i am here in america and she is in the philippines i worry if she will change when she comes here cause we have a large age difference

  7. You said in your post http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/388957-told-to-report-to-clinic-with-reciept/page__p__5692370#entry5692370 that she passed her medical and that it's negative. Did St. Luke's do another sputum test and the result was positive?

yes she told me it was negative for her medical but she made a big mistake she told me before she went there and i was just to happy so i posted it after she got there she found out she was positive so she told me she was positive so she is now doing the 6 month treatment she should be threw in march she was just so sure she was negetive because they didnt call her till 3 days before her sechdule time to come in she just made a big mistake and told me she was negative before she even knew she was

  8. my sputum culture will be ok this coming november 22,so far no call from slec..so meaning im still going ok as negative from tb..my question is,what happens after that?i was scheduled to call them on nov. 27,would it be possible that i can take the immunization right away on that date (nov 27)?usualy how many days b4 they schedule the visa interview after the immunization?hope that i can hear a response from you guys..thanx

my fiancee was called by slec 1 day before her 8 week sputum results and told to come in well hers was positive just to let you know we are doing the 6 month treatment now we thought she was negative also

  9. you are correct sir or madam it dont matter if you have a primary doctor only st. lukes matters they are the ones who have the final decision to pass you or not, to the original poster just do what st. lukes says there is no other way around this i am going threw this right now with my fiance

  10. I agree with Bri and Mar. It seems like there are some people here who are feeding you wrong information but what Bri and Mar said is correct. A positive skin test does not necessarily mean you have TB as I have said previously. Since your x-ray came back clear then you should be ok. You can go back to your doctor and ask for another set of medication. However, St. Lukes will not be acknowledging any of your doctor's findings. They will only care about the x-ray test that they will perform on you. St. Lukes will not perform the skin test on you. Only minors will get the skin test from st. lukes. Since I assume that you are an adult then you will undergo an x-ray examination. SPUTUM TEST will be performed by ST.LUKES and this will only be done if your x-ray came back with something unusual. Since your x-ray came back clear, you should not have to go through that. All other advice given here regarding getting sputum test regardless of your clear x-ray is laughable. It would be a waste of time and money since there is no use for it and since St. Luke's will not even honor that sputum test. If I were you, I would wait to see what St. Luke's have to say.

Best of luck to you and I hope you get better information from people who actually know what theyre talking about.

P.S. All the information you need have already been said in this topic.

  11. i am wondering has anyone ever finished the 6 month treatment at st lukes before the 6 months was over? my fiance has another sputum test today and she has been on treatment for only 1 month so i am just wondering thanks and why would she have another sputum test only 1 month into treatment? i asked her and she doid not know why?

  12. my fiance has to undergo the 6 month treatment at st lukes so she has to move to manila she has found a room in a house for 4,500 pesos a month and all utlities are included this is only a room she has in a house with 6 other people that are sick also so this land lady is really making money cause it is close to st lukes i give my fiance 16000 pesos a month is this enough for her to live in manila? also her sister is with her so there is 2 of them i really dont know if this is enough i dont have lots of money to spare so could someone try to answer for me is 16000 enough? for 2 girls?

  13. You Never know Think Positive!

my fiance is there now in manila and we will find out the results in about 4 hours i really wish they did not call her to come in 3 days before her scheduled time to call them but maybe she is ok i am so very nervous right now it is sunday here in the u.s and monday morning there is the philippines so we will find out in a few more hours if she is ok

  14. my fiancee had to do the 2 month culture test and was told to call on a certain date but the clinic called her 3 days before that date and said the results was ready and to come in on her schedueld date that she was suppose to call and to bring her reciept they said nothing to her about bringing her passport? i am worried now cause i have read that they will tell her to bring her passport if she is truely negative--has anybody else here been told the same before and still been negative? i told her to bring her passport just in case they forgot to tell her has this happened to any one else and the result was negative? thanks for any replies
