Hi Everyone,
we have just been notified that the NVC will schedule an interview at the consulate and they will contact us again.
So I have a question concerning the timeline after the visa has been issued.
As I understand it:after the interview we have up to 6 months to "activate" our Visa(EB1 GreenCard)
And after we "activated" our Visa we have up to one year to actually move to the US. Is this correct?
Your support is highly appreciated.
Thank you so much.

it will probably be 10 days. From our experience and what the NVC employee told us on the phone. When you send in a packet (either IV or AOS) its not updated on their system until its been reviewed by them. At that point, either your packet will be approved or you will get a checklist via email. No way will they nor can they tell you if they have received your packet/package. You just have to wait until its been reviewed. The average time is 8-10 days. Just hang in there.
they should have our package for about 2 weeks now. so I guess it's a good sign, since we haven't heard from them.
we'll wait a couple of days.
thank you guys.

hi everyone,
how long does it take to get an email reply from the NVC? (We asked them if they received our civil documents...)
Prior to my last email I had 2 email conversations with them. Both emails were answered after 7 days.
My last email hasn't been answered yet. It's been 8 days now...
Your help is highly appreciated.
Thank you.

what do you mean?
we just sent an e-mail to the NVC asking if they received everything. that should work. they usually reply within one week.

I see. So all we can do now is wait right?

but they will send an e-mail after they reviewed the documents and the case is complete right?

hi everyone,
my wife & I sent all the civil documents and forms to the NVC. They should have it for about one week now. Do they send some sort of notification e-mail that they received everything? and how long does it approximately take to review the documents?
your help is highly apprecitated.
thank you

my auntie was a beneficiary before and her birthcertificate doesnt have her father's name.. but CO never ask why it was blank when she was on her interview..
thank you.

hi everyone,
NVC website says the birth certificate needs to have the "Names of both parents". unfortunately we don't know the name of my wife's father. So on her birth certificate that part is blank.
Are we going to have trouble? Any experience?
your help is highly appreciated.

Hi everyone,
I contacted the NVC via e-mail to update our e-mail address (there was a typo in my e-mail address) and phone number. They replied within one week answering a question we had, but did not write anything like"...we updated your contact info..."
So did they do it or not? What's your take?
Thanks a lot.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help!

so the date of paying my IV Fee to the NVC. Does that count as my "last correspondence"

Hi,
our case is "approved" and we "PAID" the NVC processing fee bill (IV Fee).
Now, how much time do we have to send the NVC all the civil documents? Is there a deadline?
Thanks for your support.

hi everyone,
what's the average waiting time for the interview at the consulate from the time the case has been completed at the NVC?
the visa bulletin says "current" in my category.
I guess about one month?
your help is highly appreciated.
thank you.
