Met Online, fell in Love, got married and now going through the whole process to bring him with me. I miss my husband so much. :(

Interview on Oct 4th Case was put in AP and open for investigation on OCt 9th. :(

Was told that it would take 60 days unless completed sooner.. Called at 61 days and NOTHING :( was told to wait another 30 days and call after Jan 9th.. :(
    (Again Holidays all alone) :(

Called DOS Jan 15th since it has been more than 90 days. Agent filed a report and should have an answer within 4 to 6 weeks. Hopefully it's cleared out soon.

Called DOS Mar 1st waited the 6 weeks for the report to be completed and was told that they did not get a response and that I will have to wait another 6 weeks :(

Emailed the Consular Public Liaison Hub at the U.S Embassy in Sto Domingo on March 5th got a response saying still under AP and you have to wait. :(

Sent a letter to my Senator Ladies on March 28th Crossing my fingers and hope they can get something done about this damn AP and bring my hubby soon!!

May 2nd Received a letter from both Senator Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer both stating from the US Embassy in Santo Domingo that I am still under AP and that all I can do is wait.. :(

Called DOS June 5th since it has been more than 90 days since the last report but actually 8 months of AP. Agent filed a report and should have an answer within 4 to 6 weeks. Hopefully it's cleared out soon.

I have not bought his plane ticket because we are not sure what is the right thing to do and I need help VJ Family.. We have not been married for 2 yrs yet.. actually it will be 2 yrs on Oct 25th so my question is should we just wait until its been 2 years so that he wont get the conditional permanent residence? is it a big hassl...

Yea. That's the perfect scenario. Just wait until you have at least 2 years married before entering the USA. That way when he arrives, he can get his 10 year Green card instead of getting the 2-yr card (saves money and waiting time for new card).

I agree with MrTee12. Definitely wait and save yourself some money and the hassle of applying for his 10 year card. Congrats and good luck!!
