02/13/15 email/txt and case status online update - On February 13, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number XXXX

This journey been one long. I didnt get any RFE. Its painful seeing people approved after filed after you worse when july filers are approved and you filed in June. This forum has provided useful information and people share their experiences which help alot.

    Good luck everyone

  2. for one to be citizen after parent they have to be not over 18. So she will not gain citizenship. If she is not on a permanent resident she will be able to be an immediate family without visa waiting if her mother become a citizen b4 she is 21. Yes she can file 90 days( 3 months) b4 her 3 yrs.

  3. I wpuld suggest apply now and save money. OPT will cost you. U can include work permot with your aos application just have all the necesary requirements. Another advantage for adjusting is you get an unrestriced EAD. OPT is tied tour your major course of study. If you dnt get a course related employment in 90 days after OPT is issued ur OPT is not valid.

to answer them! So, thank you.

Now on to my question. I am here on an F-1 Visa. Got married to USC on 07/07/2012 and we are applying for AOS to get my green card. We havnt mailed anything in yet because we want it all to be perfect. But my question is this: I graduate this December. My F-1 visa on my passport does not expire until June 2013. We plan to file for AOS before graduation but once I graduate I wont be officially on F-1 status right? So is that a problem? Most likely when I get an interview I will be already graduated and not on F-1 status but waiting for AOS. Will that give me any problems?? What is the relevance then of the visa on my passport expiring on Jun 2013 if I will officially be done as an F-1 student in December??

Another question is: I have the option to apply for OPT, so should I go ahead and do that before applying for AOS, or just do one or the other????

  4. I was F1 student when I adjusted.

Date authorized to stay minse had D/S (Dutation status) thats what I put

I do not believe you have an alien registration # until you file and uscis provide one

I would advise to get one address either she moves or you move but have a common address. You can still study but have an address that will have both names on the lease and show bills are paid together.

You can repeat the info on G-325A it will not harm although its not required filling the information will not hurt.

The form is submitted for "permanet resident"

You need two G-325A your wife has to complete one and you have to complete the other.

    Best of luck

  5. I been approved. I checked my status online. Interview was on 9/5/2012. Baltimore, MD

"On September 7, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

My journey started 4/18/2012 when my application was reeived. Thank you all VJ family appreciated. Yall feel free to ask my experience. Thx

  6. Did they say anything like "I am reviewing your case" OR "I am going to approve your application" "I need to speak to my supervisor" "Expect something from us in X days"?

I wish you the best of luck.

Oh also: You should put a review in the reviews section!

Actually she did not tell any of that. She just told us we are done and we just left. The interview was like 20 min just basic questions we were not separated or anything

  7. We had interview on 9/5/2012 at 8am Baltimore, MD

Once we got in and called we swore to tell the truth

Asked for our ID, asked my full names and my wife was asked her name.

I was asked my wife dob, place and her parent names. Also asked about where I work, my parents dob and if they r living

My wife was asked my dob, my parents name, her parents dob

they asked our wedding date, and how we met

asked the "NO" questions in 485

asked to subit any additional docs we have and she glanced through our photo album. The imm officer then told us we are done and we left. Now anxiously waiting.

  8. Hello VJers!

Just a quick question. Let's just say if I am able to support my wife and me, would I still need to fill the I864 out? Am I basically just sponsoring myself? If I do have to fill the form out, so I fill out everything under me?

Thanks in advance for your help! Good luck!

If you are the petitioner you have to file form I-864. If you are the beneficiary you cannot sponsor yourself. I think you can add your income if you filed taxes together and you worked legally.
