  1. Hello, my Husband has been approved for his Visa. His flight has been booked and I have a question concerning POE. He will be flying out of Dakar, Senegal & will have a 5 hour layover in Brussels, Belguim & will then entry the U.S. in Chicago, IL. My question is: with him stopping in Brussels, Belgium is this a POE or would his POE be Chicago, IL? Also, if Belgium is not a POE, would he have to go through any form of customs after landing in Brussels or would he just go to his connecting flight?

Thanks to everyone in advance for your help & assistance!

  4. My husband & I are currently at this same stage of the process. I sent the DS-230 along with all of my husbands required doc via Fed-Ex on 4/5/13. It was delivered & signed for on 4/9/13. I called NVC on 4/19/13 & spoke with a representative. She said they received my AOS (I sent & paid for this back in Feb.) She said they were still waiting on our DS-230, I told her when FedEx delivered it & that it was signed for & she said it takes up to 20 days. So as of 4/19/13 our DS-230 had not yet been worked & we are still waiting. I've explained to my husband that we should possibly hear something by 4/29/13 no later that 4/30/13. Hope my experience helps with your question.

  5. PLEASE HELP! I received a text today from USCIS that our I-130 has been APPROVED! I know I need to start gathering my income/employment information. What should my husband be doing on his end to help prepare? I have read some of the forums pertaining to this but I think I'm just getting a little overwhelmed. Can someone explain our next steps in "laymen's terms". Thanks for any & all help you can provide!
