I apologize this question was to get answers for a friend of mine, be submited to renew his GC back in December and got his biometrics done on January 12th. He hasnt heard anything back from them since then, he calls and all they tell him is that its delayed.

Well I petitioned my ex husband from the dominican republic, my current boyfriend lives here in the united states. Hes from guatemala and we are trying to get married in the next few months or so

Quick question about 3 years ago I got married and petitioned for my ex husband, we recently got divorced but we have been seperated for quite a while now. I'm in a new relationship and my current spouse needs to adjust status. If i marry my current boyfriend will it be a problem if I adjust status for him since I already petition for my ex husband.

I submited paper for to renew my residency back in the begining of december, I havent heard anything back from them and i'm starting to get worried.

Does anyone know how long does it take for this to renew ? Does is usually take this long ?

I have a quick a question that I can't seem to find the answer to. My mother in law was just granted her visitors visa so she can come visit us here in the USA, during her visit we would like to take a short cruise and I was wondering if she can travel with us with her visitors visa or additional paperwork is required. We will be doing a closed loop cruise which is will depart and enter the USA.

Dwheels I have a question so me and my husband make 2 years married this upcoming September 7th and our interview is on September 16th we have passed the 2 year mark do we still have to do his AOS or no ?

We put in for an expedite at Santo Domingo DR Consulate as my work is needing me to get the interview out of the way so that I can take on long project work. Our case was completed 6/10 yet we were not getting interview dates just like most of us in the forum.

Thinking the expedite was the way to go, that is what we did. Now that they approved us, this is the email I got from the embassy:

Dear Mr. White,

Unfortunately, there are no more appointments available for September 2013, nor after. This case is still pending an appointment to be scheduled and it will be as soon as there is availability again. However, it would be on October or after.

We understand your situation, but that doesnt constitute an emergency for us to expedite you interview date.

The presence of the petitioner is not mandatory, and if the consular officer requires it, he/she will indicate so to the applicant.

Wow so what the point of the expedite request ?

I called NVC the nice lady told me they sent out my P4 email but I still haven't received it hopefully later in in the day I should receive it.

I have a quick question. all the vacation time was taken at my job so even if i get an august interview i would have to reschedule. can i ask the consulate directly for an september interview or do i have to wait and see if NVC schedules me a august interview for me and then ask for a change ?

OMG I knew it I knew it. Patience people. I knew DR was coming. i so wish I had everyones phone number and say call call.

I am wiping here like its my interview date. thank for letting me know. I have been updating and stuff all day so I will post in a bit.

I called today and nothing for DR i'm just going to give up on this august interview and hope for the best for september. I want to congratulate everyone that got interviews for august and good luck !!
