    K1 though SFO- experiences?

    This is my experience of my POE in SFO. Do not to be worry because its very pretty easy and faster. I didn't even expect it. My English also is not really good and I am also fly alone from JAk-SFO. Just make sure to prepare everything docs such a passport and sealed brown envelope from the Jak Embassy. Ohhh yea when ur fiancée on the plane might she need to fill up the arrival form. It's quite easy because she can look up from her passport.

    Well my flight was landing in SFO at 10:30 pm ( SFO time ). Incidentally I'm in 1st class Cathay Pacific Airline. And everything quite faster for me. And I am the first person out of the plane, I feel little bit nervous and I doesn't know how to walk there. So I decided to wait for another person after me come out. Then I follow him walking for about 3 minutes and I saw a immigration sign. So I follow that sign. After I get there, actually there was quite big line up room. But at that time no people line up there. That guy directly go to immigrant/ citizen line. And I decided go to non immigrant/ visitor line. Directly I go to the immigration officer desk and I give him my passport and the embassy's envelope. He starting review all my docs, take my fingerprint and look at my eyes. He done only in 5 minutes including asking me a couple questions, (what the reason I coming to USA, where is my fiancée ( now my husband ) address, and where we will stay after get out from SFO airport). That's it. After all done he allow me to leave and get my luggage. And I am so lucky because my luggage was went out first. After I get them I headed for the exit, but there is one immigration officer asking for my arrival form ( the arrival form is form i had fill up on the plane ).After I give to him and no any problem at all he show me the way how to exit. After going through 2 doors, I arrived at the arrival hall. And there I saw my fiancé (husband now) with his parent waiting for me. And finally we are together again after 1 year 2 months and 12 days apart.

    My husband said its quite faster. They wait not more than 30 minutes from flight landing.

    So I don't know what time ur fiancée will arrive at SFO. If I see from the immigration line up is very big there, maybe at day time there was very busy. So probably will take more longer. But if she arrive at a night probably it's quite faster. I suggested u to be there earlier. So when ur fiancée coming out to the arrival hall, see can see u immediately. So she will not be worry or fear. That is my POE story at SFO. Hopefully can help ur fiancée for not be worry. Everything will be fine. Ohhh yea the immigration officer will ask about weather she bring the money more than 10,000 US dollars or not. for me I am answer NO because I haven't bring it. Well just say hi to ur fiancée and welcome to USA soon. My best wishes for both of u.

    interview successful, approved but visa not in hand over a week

    Hi Tommysanfran, do not need to be worry, ur fiancée will get her visa soon. Just give them time because it's a weekend. the important that they keep ur fiancée's passport.

    Did ur fiancée get small white slip approval with a date on it after her interview?

    Usually the CO will give small white approval slip after interview passed and showing what date we can pick up our visas. Other wise if CO still needed another docs requirement from us they will give us 221g paper. And probably it will take a time till we submit it.

    U can check ur fiancée status application, so u will know better what going on with her processing. Mine I check my status application on CEAC before.

    I got my interview in July18th,2013 but i am not got approval at same date. I got 221g after my interview but the CO keep my passport anyway.They said they don't need any docs from me. Just ask me to wait until they can fixed my case and they will call me if they ready with my visa. When I ask them how long I have to wait. They said don't know can't promise. Really that time I was so depressed too. July19th my fiancé called to USEM. And was surprising they ask me to pick up my visa on July24th. So mine just delay 1 day.

    So, please just wait if ur fiancée status changed to be ISSUE that's mean ur fiancée ready to pick up her visa, usually USEM will send an email and let us know when we should pick up our visas.

    Be optimist, hope this week u will hear the great news from USEM and ask ur fiancée to pick up her visa.

    My prayers and best wishes for both of u....

    Will overstaying in other country effect to getting a visa for the USA???

    Hello Vj fellow...

    I am applying for K1 visa. But my problem is I'hv overstayed for about 2 years when I lived in Hk. The Hk police headquarter can't issued a police certificate for me for that reason. But they said they have send a letter to the Embassy and give them explaining why they can't issued a Police Certificate under my name. This month 18th is my interview. But I am really worry weather my past overstayed in Hk, might be a problem and it's possibility denied my visa. I am really hopes to get the answer to enlighten me....

    Hi Dear VJ,

    I have been lived in Hk before. And I got a terrible regarding for obtaining the Hk Police Clearance.

    I should get a referral later from JAK USEM.

    I have been approved for K1 visa on April 22 2013.

    I got my case number from NVC on May 2,2013. And they also telling us that they already sent our files on May 1 at Jakarta USEM.

    My Question, How to get the referral later from JAK USEM? B/c I need to send it with other doc to hk police gov.

    And what next steps I need to do after I got my case number?

    Does everybody have exsperiance about that? Could u pls share that information with me.....?????

    Your information will be very helpful to me.

    Be patience, ur time will coming soon. VSC more faster to approve than CSC right now. 2 of my friends got their approval today under VSC. So just hang in there.

    U will get it soon. Do u know that I am still waiting noa2, since our noa1 August 2 under CSC. Over 8 months we waiting. its hard i know, but we never give up.

    Sooooooo dont lost ur hope......

    Hi Cereal, don't be sad not only you were waiting for Noa2. Those people same situation with you. We are July 27 filer and August 2 noa1 at CSC too, also still waiting for our Noa2 approval.

    One of my friends was July 20 filer also didn't got their noa2 yet. So we need to be patience. don't ever give up. Maybe there are many applicant so CSC a bit slowly then Vsc.

    Just positive thinking n keep praying, everything will be okey. We will got it soon, perhaps this month. Okey Cereal..... Hope u have a great time and don't be depressing in this situation.
