I filed in May for the AOS and we recieved a waiver letter 08/29/2013 and then on 10/21/2013 we recieved notice that the card was in production for Nhung.

Hello everyone here in Vjs , I just received a mail from uscis today and it says "notice of potential interview waiver case" a waiver means not to need to have interview, and delay for approximately 6 months.

Is somebody had the same letter that I've received. ..?

Pls can u tell me what did u guys did to your application or you guys just waited about 6 mons.

I will appreciate any suggestions and thank you in advance!

Same thing happened to us. It usually happens when there is a change in your last name. Did you change your last name after marriage?

The problem is in the verification from SAVE database. In SAVE, my wife's last name was still her maiden name and it takes some time for the USCIS to update it after issuing the EAD/AP combo card.

To solve this, we made an infopass appointment to go and correct her records in SAVE and got an appointment that was about 3 weeks out. Afterward, we filled this form (since we're in Maryland):

Two days before the infopass appointment, we were sent an email to come for the license.

So to answer your question, make an infopass appointment and try to correct your name in their database. If your state has a SAVE verification form like Maryland does, fill it. If you are as lucky as we are, you will be verified before your appointment.

Hello Vj's friends. I have a problem about getting my driving permit and a state id. I applied last week and they told me that my status is not yet updated on their system and by the way I have my ssn and ead / ap already and still waiting for gc. Then this afternoon dmv called me and they need an updated id and stuff came from the immigration so I brought my ead/AP but then when they checked it again their system says that my status is on going and they can't give me a safe I'd number. So the option that they told me is to wait foe the green card and seems like its not right. Any suggestions pls. I got work and I need a car to drive coz its hard to go work without car. Pls help me. I'm thinking to call uscis tomorrow and ask them what's going on my application. Pls help me .thank you so much in advance.

Oic. I'm here in ND. Yeah been started working since I got my ssn 1week after I received my ead. I'm still catching up. Been stuck for many Mons lol

I am in the same situation as you. I have my combo card, received it a couple of weeks ago - but the receipt number for my I-485 is not even recognized on the system. Do you think it is worth calling them, or is it just a case of waiting it out?

I was very encouraged to hear that I am not the only one! Although at the same time I am sorry that you have to wait too. I suspect that we may both end up without the interview but having to wait ten or so months for our card.

Hi happyD. Yeah it's sucks but we need to be patient on it. Hopefully everything will be going good on our application. Hope we can have/hear our interview soon because some/almost all of the April filers where having their interview.

it's pretty norma! Mine took 5 weeks to arrived when I got it when my combo card. Also my drivers license. The DMV and the SSN needed to take sometime to checked my immigration status. My drivers license also took weeks (6 weeks). Once I received my greencard I went to update both and even when my gc my permanent license and my new ssn took 3 weeks. Just be patient

Ic. Hopefully it won't take 4weeks on my ssn. Also the DMV wish they will be updated soon to. Coz I cant get drivers license if I don't have ssn

Did they still take your application form? did they give you a paper?

That's what they kinda told me and I got my SSN a week later.

I'm here with a question if this has been experienced or happened to someone here already.

Last week i received my EAD/AP combocard and we went to get SSN for me but SSN girl who took care of us says that it will take 4 weeks for me to get SSN.

i asked why and she said that my application on my EAD was not updated yet and they cant found my name.

Has this happened to some applicant here to?

Same here. It is hard to be patient when you see almost everyone got the date already. Look at my timeline. The case went to 'testing & interview' over a month ago and I still haven't heard anything.

Your lucky. Mine I can't see at all at the uscis site. It always says that my receipt number can't be found yet. Lol yeah sometimes it drives me crazy on waiting lol

I should receive my EAD on Monday and our interview is on Thursday.
