Can I use the PCC from the police office for the visa application? Or do I need to get it from the passport seva kendra (passport office)?

If i have to get it from the PSK, can I simply use the commissioner PCC to apply at the PSK?

Your profile says you are in K1 Category. So, for K1 Visa applicant, only Police Clearance Certificate from Passport Seva Kendra is required. You do not need to go District Police Station or Local Police Station.

Just go to passport website and make your appointment and then go to passport office of your location/area on scheduled date, you will get it in one day.

As far as i know...Medical Report is generally valid for 6 months....I haven't heard Medical report is valid for 3 months...But may be it would be valid for 3 months...I think its better to ask either VFS guys or Consulate abt its validity...

Even they do not know exactly. In July month, I asked four guys so I got four different answer from them. One said, Its valid for 3-6 month, second one says till your visa issued and you enter for US, third one says for 12 months then fourth one says One years. So, I just mentioned here minimum month here. By they way, when I did my medical examination that time I asked them and they said that it should be valid for 3 months.

Second point, many of applicants who were in AP for more than 4 or 5 months, were asked to submit new medical reports.

Just I have checked the November listing as the new list has been updated and searched my case # as my interview is on November 26 in Mumbai Consualte but I didn't find my case # there. Why is it so? Or they will update it later in this month? I am little anxious. Please let me know.

No worries. They update twice in a month. Sometimes after your interview is done. By the way, they have not updated the interview from 21st to 28th Nov.

In my case, I got my interview date but it was not mentioned in PDF file as yours. When I was done with my interview then they updated later.

So, please be assured.

Greetings!

I have received my appointment email from NVC for the CR1 visa category (k3) and my interview is on XXX/11/2012. My question is they didn't send me any medical details or any letter mentioning the same. However in the appointment letter, they send me the US state gov's link for all the details regarding the interview mentioning that strictly follow the rules as failure to do so can delay visa at any step. I have gone through that site and in that site, panel of physicians are mentioned there (i.e Mumbai, kolkata and Chennai)under medical.

So my question is, should I follow that link and go ahead with the Medical tests? because first I have to take appointment with the physican as per his suitability and above all this is a month of festivals so reaching a physican will be little tough because of already sheduled leave of the physcian.

Kindly advise me should I start taking/ contacting with the physician at the earliest as my interview is on November or NVC will send me any last minute email for the mediacl as well? My nearest medical center will be Kolkata so it will be convenient for me to take medical from kolkata.

Hi,

Please make your appointment fixed today itself. But remember one thing, please make it done your medical examination just before 3-4 days of your interview date. You can make your appointment today for future dates.

The main reason of this, the medical report is valid for 3 months only. Hence, do not prepare it one month before of your Interview date. If anything goes wrong in interview or your case goes pending then it would be a headache for you. I am not trying to confuse here but you should be prepared for all these things.

NVC is not going to send any last minute alert for Medical Report. They just send the link which we need to follow which you already got it.

So, for eg; if your CR1 interview date is 10th November 2012, then please do your medical examination on 2nd or 3rd November. You will get the report next day or same day if everything is normal.

And secondly, after fixing medical appointment date, try to gather all other documents which are needed for interview/or visa.

I got the email from the address: MUMBAIIV@state.gov and the sender's name is 'MUMBAI IV'. Did you get your email from a same or similar address? I'm hoping it's not a scam. It looks quite authentic, but I want to be 100%. I'm probably being paranoid

As you are in K1 Category and I was in same category. I got my appointment letter from VFS center. Do not worry, please check the interview date and match it in PDF file if its updated in Mumbai Consulate website. Then you will feel relief. If not, then wait for new listing for November month.

Just a quick question...

My husband recently received his Immigration Visa Packet. We opened the silver packet shipping foil that contained his visa packet and Passport. His Immigrant Visa Packet in a manilla envelope was inside however....

It's got a diagonal cut along the bottom corner of the envelope, almost like someone cut a triangle out of the bottom of the envelope and THEN put his paperwork inside because his papers are sticking out of that corner, perfectly intact and not bent or crinkled. The cut looks "processed" and not intentional.

Anyone else get this for their Immigration Packet? Is this part of the new Mumbai VFS process since they no longer deliver to our homes and we have to go and pick them up?

US consulate also authorized the Kolkata's Apollo Gleneagles Hospital Ltd. as one of the Panel of physician under this category. So not sure whether I will do it from Mumbai or Kolkata or Will NVC let me know about Medical details?

My question is should I get any hard copy from Bombay NVC and one thing I don't know where to take Medical examinations since nothing is mentioned on that letter. Please let me know in details. honestly after reading your post, I can sense how much frustrated you may be after your interview. But let's get straight to the point, American/Indian CO treats every applicant the same way as if you are a stranger to them. So being suspicious about your relationship is a valid point until they are fully convinced with your provided evidences. But being rude to the applicant is not acceptable and we can't do anything with it.

Many other questions are unanswered in your experience:

1. What was wrong in your father-in-law's filled tax return?

2. Which relationship evidences you took for an interview?

3. Which evidences you provided during interview to prove that both of you are out of your first marriage?

Any financial documents where both of you have names on it is useful as a relationship evidence. Also wedding/trip photos, certified documents from both parents about your relationship and marriage etc. can be helpful to prove your relationship.

Each case is different so requirement to provide relationship evidence may be different. In our case, we just had to show our wedding/trip photos to prove our relationship since both are married first time.

Hello!, I don't feel like writing today, my husband in Egypt was denied today at his interview at Cairo's embassy, it is a sad day for both of us, the lady who interviewed my husband today after denying the visa, my husband was concerned, so he asked her: what we can do now?, and she, in a mockery tone, answered: Call her, and tell her to come to marry you here.

Please do not take anything personal right now....See, this is just their job and they are sitting for their country and every citizen have rights to make their country secured...That's it.

Each & Every Consular behaves accordingly the country tradition and culture. They won't behave in same manner as they are in USA but they are mixed up with your traditions and culture. Hence, please do not blame them at all. They are just doing their best for their nation.

I will just suggest you that please do so as consular said to you. That's it.

As, you have not mentioned about any 221G or anything so please follow the things which consular said to you.

Here is my little experience with my Cr1 visa interview yesterday(1oct 2012)at the US Embassy, Mumbai.

Today was I went for the visa interview at Mumbai they asked for more evidence to prove that our relationship and the marriage is genuine. I will give you a detail description of today's experience.

I was there well ahead of time. So when they called me for the first time to give all my original papers back they told me tat my wife i864 is not good enough. So i told them that she has 3property which is good enough to cover me. But they said no its not. Then he asked me can your wife sell her property to cover me. I told him yes she will if needed and then he asked for her 2011 tax returns. I told him she didn't pay cause she didn't work because she had a serious surgery and she was here with me in India for 6months. Then i told him i have my dad in law joint sponsoring me. Then i gave him that and saw it an said it's wrongly filled. But gave me instruction on what i need to do. Then i was asked to sit. Then I was called and asked me about us. I told him what was true. So after some question he asked me to wait he was not rude. Then i was again asked to wait. Then i was called in a private room with an Indian lady who was rude and humiliating from the word go. She asked me why do I want to go to USA. I told him because i want to be with my love my wife. So she asked me about my relationship with my wife. I told her that we love each another more then our self. She asked me what happened to her previous marriage. I told her what went wrong. Then she asked me how can i trust her if she is already married twice. Here I told her i love more then myself and that's why we are married and not for any other reason. They took the whole thing as fake because we both were married before. how can our past be a judge of our present. we are not teenagers any more. but this lady will just not stop being rude and humiliating my and my relationship.We are not worried about the past and we don't live in the past. Then she asked me that she sees that my wife has a 10yrs visa to India then why is she not being with me and calling me. I told her that she has a house and no one to take care and she has dogs too. and that is is expensive too so we just decided to wait for the visa process to end and be together. And she is not well so i am the only one to take care of her. Then she told me the it seems i am married to her for going to USA. I told her that's not correct I am quite known face here in kolkata, INDIA. I am going because we have decided to live our last phase of our life together.. She keep telling me this repetitively. Then she started asking me when did I first meet her in person i gave exact date and description. Then she asked me why did I married her on 09/02/2012. I told her that the lawyer gave us the date cause we have to give a notice a moth before and we gave the notice on 2Aug2011. Then she kept asking me the same questions and then she asked me about my previous marriage. I gave all the details. And then again she asked me why did we get married again when our previous marriage didn't work. I again told her we don't care about the past we love each another and that's why we have married this time. Then again she told me no I married to go to USA. And she was very rude all the way. I told her I am going cause i want to be with my wife and because I love my wife because i am the only one to take care of her and she has some responsibility there too. she has responsibilities there too. Then she told me if that's true show me some financial proof why didn't she add you to her properties i told her that's not possible till i am there. She accused me yet once again. I told her no for us what matters is being together i am going to USA cause i want to be with my wife and take care of her and her things.Then she was very rude and went off. She came after sometime and told me my case is pending so i need provide more evidence of our ongoing relationship.

ok i have an bank account with SBI how can i add her to my bank acct??? i have sent her money 3times in the last one year so do i need to give a photo copy of that money transfer too..how can i add her to my financial things..i have add her to my mediclaim already..

One thing, I would like to ask you...when you submitted the documents in 2010 that were mentioned in 221g, did they return your passport back soon or did you not submit the passport along with your documents?

My husband had an immigrant visa interview on Aug 7th 2012. and he didn't get visa instead they gave 221G white letter telling additional documents required to be submitted at VFS office in Mumbai. he has submitted all the required documents and his passport, they asked at VFS on Sep 14th. and since then we are trying to track his passport. first we were trackin on VFS site but now the site is closed and new site is there ustraveldocs.com/in. i want to how can we track his process? and since the VFS process has changed after sep 26th. does it apply to us since we submitted at vfs before 26th? we have mailed/called to vfs offices but did not get any proper reply regarding passport status. if someone is going through same issue please share n guide us out. btw the documents required in 221G were domicile for the petitioner since i was in india for 7th months. they asked me to go back and send proof of it. and we had gathered proof like boarding passes, tickets, bank statements, proof of address etc. and 2nd thing they asked was joint sponsor. we gathered all the documents n it is been submitted at VFS. its been 15 days and we still haven't heard anything back please help.

I'm reading too much into this I think. Do the beneficiary have to print out the email from the US Embassy that states the interview date and take it with them to the Medical exam and also to receive their police certificate? Or is it only the letter in packet from the Embassy that they will need to take with them? Our case is on its way to Lagos and we want to get started on the Medical and Police. Do I have to wait for the interview date email from the Embassy? Or can we proceed beforehand? Considering we already have the link for the forms..... Thanks

Hi, beneficiary can apply for Police Clearance Certificate without interview letter. For medical exam, you need interview letter in which date and time is mentioned by Embassy. Thanks.

Dear, I think you got me wrong, I have all of the above mentioned documents and evidences, I was simply asking that Phone Logs for only 11 months shall be sufficient or not to be taken to the interview. Otherwise, I do have, emails, yahoo chat session, skype chat sessions, facebook chat sessions, I-134 along with all it's supporting documents (i.e pay stubs etc), then letters and affidavits from family for the agreement of marriage. Letter of intent of marry etc.

Answer is Yes, that will be sufficient.

Shall the phone logs and phone bills for 11 months prior to the interview date shall be sufficient to be taken to the K1 Fiancee Interview, as I couldn't get data for more than 11 months here in Pakistan ?

You need to keep Phone Logs, Email Logs, Chat Logs, Photos, Dating emails, Recent Conversation Transcripts, any post marked letters or envelope, tickets, hotel, restaurant bills, train tickets, wedding plans in USA etc...

All you need to keep all the above things in advance because they may ask for all above things if they are not convinced with verbal communication. Just be prepared along with all these documents.
