Just got my sealed packet from the embassy for my POE, it isn't damaged, but they have put the names of my parents as my wife's parent ?!?! Do I just keep going and travel and at the POE get it amended, it's no big deal, just a changing of names. Just don't wanna send the packet back and them change the names and it take two weeks to get back again . . . . .

Inside the packet might be right names, I'm not sure. . . . .

Any thoughts?

Today was my interview . . .i got APPROVED!!! *cue happy dance and jazz hands* thank you guys so much for all your help, I will be on here on a weekly basis to see if I can help others, as we are all doing this as a VJ family!!! 2. Shot records- Tdap, MMR, flu and tell them you had chickenpox
   
3. Police report (photocopy okay)
   
4. The medical questionnaire filled out
   
5. A report from your GP detailing anything serious you've had or currently have-- cancer, depression, high blood pressure, diabetes--things you answer yes to on the questionnaire
   
6. Money to pay for the exam
   

hey! All went well! Was really chilled and no stress at all! Even got time to do some shopping in London before coming home!

Just got 'everything' together for my medical, I feel like I don't have everything I need . . . . Is there really not that much to take with you?

Correct!!! I got two certificates though, just because I want every base covered . Got my medical tomorrow!!

Find Australia in the drop down. Then scroll way down to the police certificate part. Sounds like what you did is correct since you no longer live in the country. I recall several going through London who never mentioned needing state specific reports. Fingerprints, yes. But you've done that. Who is asking you for more? I'm not following that part.

NVC originally asked for it, then processed everything saying it was fine. Now it's on my embassy check list . . .

I got a name and finger print check done with AFP, now they are asking for a state specific one for NSW/ QUEENSLAND. I have heard that they are confused and you don't need one, but it's got me worried that I will not get accepted at the interview if I don't have a NSW one . . . .any suggestions? Is the AFP police check the right one???

Hey, I know this thread is a few months back, but I got the same email from NVC and then for my interview checklist, I got the same police check as you guys got, I only had to get it because I did 2 years of college in NSW, then went back to travel for 8months, but ended up just sticking around NSW for all of it. I'm not even an Auz citizen!! So does my police check cover me? I would hate to get this far and get denied on a silly confusion point!! It's an AUSTRALIAN police check, surely they realise that covers EVERY state!! Jeez! So will I be ok you think? Thanks. David.

I'm in London 11th Feb!! YYYEEEEEEEHHHaaaaawwwwwwwww!

My husband has just called the NVC. After about 30mins on hold he got through. He gave our details and she told him to get a pen. She went on to tell him that our interview was scheduled today and emails will be sent out today or tomorrow Our interview is scheduled for 8th Feb at 8am.

I done mine on the 3rd Dec But only because i didnt want to travel to London too close together. As long as it is a couple of weeks before the interview i am sure it will be ok.

Great!! I have a friend to stay with for both times so it will be nice to see him at least twice before I leave the UK . Where do you travel from?

Every time I meet up with my friend Ben I ALWAYS get a visa related email, either NOA2 or NVC case complete!! I'm seeing him tonight!! Hopefully my good luck friend will work for us all!! PS, folks in the UK, hope your all doing well with the miserable weather!! Urrrgghhh!! Best of luck to all!!

For a spousal visa case this is incorrect. The processes and procedures for fiance(e) and spousal are completely different and not interchangeable.

What happens in a spouse visa case after the NVC "completes" it is the file is held until they are informed of available interview dates by the Embassy or Consulate where the interview will take place. Once those dates are made available, an interview is scheduled and the file is then sent out. The Embassy or Consulate will send no packets to the beneficiary asking for forms because the needed forms would have already been sent to the NVC.

That's what I thought!! I thought that I had supplied all forms already!! Thanks for clearing that up!! So it could just be about 4 weeks right?

Hey is there an estimated time it takes to get an interview once NVC have completed my case??

That's the number I have been trying with a dialling code on front . . . .

I have tried to call the NVC number, but its not working . . . . Any ideas? I put dialling code and the correct number . . . .a

if i send my AOSupport, a week or 2 before my DS-230 , is there a way to see if that has been looked at or completed before they fully complete the case? As in, is there 2 separate confirmations?
