I met Trevor in the winter of 2002. He owns a software company in the UK and traveled to the US to visit his client (ME) for a large project.
I was a single mother to a 9 year old daughter & it had been her and I since her birth. It was love at first sight, something the years taught me never to believe in. We worked together on the project and in July he invited me to England to meet his parents. In September he proposed.
We began planning a wedding for June of the following year. Work was demanding and so was the distance. He came over twice once in November and then again in Feb of 2002 for work and me. At that time I found out I was pregnant! We continued with the wedding plans and in April I had a sonogram that gave a perfect picture of two heads!!!!! We were having twins!
My pregnancy was upgraded to constant doctor appts & all else - immigration, wedding etc did not matter anymore. Just having 2 healthy babies and making it to work everyday was my only concern. Trevor came to the US in June 2002 for the birth and we went up to the court house and got married. Doctor recommended no stress so no big wedding and since I pushing 200lbs probably better.
Logan & Lauren were born on July 02, 2003. The next year was a blur. Sleep my only concern. We decided I would not return to work.
Trevor continued to travel back and forth, his business in crisis and $$ tight. Then on May 30 th 2004, our whold lives changed forever.
Trevor was coming back to the US on May 30th and he was refused entry into the US. The journey we have taken from that day is still very painful & I am still trying to deal with all that happened along with the choice I had to make to keep our family together. We currently live in the UK.
