  1. Hello everyone! I would really appreciate help with this question. The NVC asked for me to send the affidavit of support papers and the DS-230 with its supporting documents to them in the States, I live abroad in Ecuador and I'm working on the immigrant visa for my Ecuadorian husband. At the end of the DS-230 there's a place to sign, but it says in bold letters not to sign it unless told to under oath in the consulate. So... this may be an obvious question, but do I send it to the NVC without a signature? Will they ask my husband to sign it at the interview? I just want to be 100% sure so that I don't have to send it in again later. My mom says just to sign it but I don't know. Anyway, thanks for your time.

  2. Hi! I'm new here, and was really surprised by the auto-expedited petition! I thought I'd have to wait 5-6 months. Anyway, here's our info:

    1. Country USC resides in: Ecuador

    2. USCIS field office or DCF?: USCIS

    3. When did you file I130: July 02, 2012

    4. How long has the USC been living abroad: 3 years

    5. Do you reside in the country legally: Yes

    6. What is the reason for your residence: To be with my hubby. I have a marriage visa.

    7. Did you list your overseas address on I130? Yes

    8. Did you send the package from abroad? Well, kindof. I sent it to my mom in the States, and she put it into a new envelope and sent it from there.

    9. Did you include evidence of your residence abroad in your I130 package? Not much. Since we never had documentation of bills paid, most of our evidence were marriage certificates and the birth certificate of our baby.

    10. Did you mention that you reside abroad in your cover letter? Yes

    11. Has your case been auto expedited? How long between NOA1 and NOA2? Yes. The NOA1 says that it was recieved on July 2, and online it says that it was approved July 11. Though I haven't received the NOA2 yet in print. It may get lost in Ecuadorian mail... it's not very reliable.

    12. Which Service Centre? California
