I'm from Nashville, it took them to schedule me for the ceremony after 1.5 months! So you should be planning for mid-December or mid-January (keep in mind there is the Christmas and New Year holidays).

Just got done with the naturalization ceremony! The waiting part for signing in was long. Actual pledge and swearing was fast! It was done in a district court, it wasn't a good place to bring in little children or infants as they do not allow food or drink inside the court.
Finally, done with the USCIS! Live long and prosper, everyone!!

KY Derby, yes, I received both status changes (and notified by text messages): in line for oath ceremony as well as scheduled for oath ceremony the same day.
Sweeneybull , did you get online status change when they scheduled you for the Oath ceremony?
Inna, I'm sure all you need is you international (загранпаспорт) passport.

Just received my Oath Ceremony letter from the USCIS today. Mine is at 7:30am on November 16! Finally, a few more weeks and it will be all over!

Just finished my test and interview.
Questions asked
What do we show allegiance to?
Who vetoes the bill?
Who did US fight in WW2?
What is the supreme law of the land?
What is your State capital?
... can't remember the sixth question!
I was asked to read and write very simple sentence., followed by going over my N400 application.
At the end I was given a white sheet marked that I passed all the test and that I was recommended for approval. Told to wait for the oath letter.

I believe it needs to be original. Check the interview letter, it should ask you to bring the original.
How about bringing your husband's passport? Passport is also allowed in lieu of birth/naturalization certificate.

I also checked the USCIS website today and mine was in line for interview scheduling as of August 24.

I just got our NOA letter in the mail and it says "Upon receipt of all required Record Checks, you will be scheduled to appear for an interview at your local USCIS field office" Does this mean we're skipping biometrics? We just did the removal of conditions last year on my husband's green card, so maybe that's why?
Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!
You get two NOA's... one is a receipt for the fee paid. The other one will be the biometrics appointment letter.

Application sent to Dallas on July 31, Biometrics letter received August 9. Appointment for biometrics on Aug 22. Tried to get walk in biometrics last week but they told me the office was under staffed.

I think what they are after is tax return transcript. They did ask specifically for return transcript somewhere. I would probably go online and request those if you haven't already. As for extra documents, you can add them to your application when you send them in, or else, it would probably be a good idea to bring the extra supporting documents to your interview. I think most people on this forum are the DIY-types who tend to over caution than the most of the population anyway.
I will be sending my stuff late August, like August 20 or so. Btw, I requested account transcripts for 3 year from IRS, I read on the forum that it does not make a difference for USCIS whether you send return or account transcripts, is that true? Also, if Im sending those account transcript, I understand I don't need to send any other marriage evidence except the marriage certificate? I'm asking because some people still send their lease, mortgage, bank statements, children's birth certificates. However, in the instructions it says either that or the IRS transcripts:
4. Documents referring to you and your spouse:
a. Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children; or
b. Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past 3 years; or
c. An IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years.

Hi, I will be applying this month too. I will be sending my 3 year marriage based case to Dallas, TX. My District Office is Memphis. Just getting everything ready now! Looks like I have everything that you listed below! Estimated time of completion on USCIS processing times web page was 5 months, that means by January 2013 we should be in line for the oath ceremony!

Even though I thought I had quadruple-checked everything, I only just picked up that only my middle initial is on my green card, and also that Part 11 needs your whole name, not your usual signature. Agh! Well, at least it was now not later I suppose.
Anyway, here's what I'll be sending to Nebraska (military spouse, but not expedite):
- Completed Form N-400 (including additional page, signed and dated, for Part 6.B.)
- Check for $680 ($595 filing fee +$85 biometrics fee)
- 2 identical color photographs
- Copy (front and back) of my Permanent Residence Card
- Copy of my husband’s Birth Certificate
- Copy of our Marriage Certificate
- Copy of our IRS tax return transcripts for the last 3 years
I've labelled everything with my A#. Any other advice for things to double-check?

Update SSA und DMV right after oath?

My personal recommendation is to apply for the (1) updated driver's license and get (2) registered to vote at the DMV (You will need your original Citizenship certificate for this at the DMV). Once complete, then head to the Post Office and (3) apply for your US Passport. Once you get your passport (in ~4 weeks) then go to (4) SSA and update your status with your new Passport. I tried going to SSA the same day, but the USCIS update is very slow and if you try to use your naturalization certificate, the SSA will need verification from the USCIS which can take FOREVER. It's much easier to take your Passport and they will change/update your status on the spot.
