Kat&M. NVC assigns the Consulate. I was assigned Mumbai consulate.

You will need to register at USTRAVELDOCS once they send you the interview appointment letter.

Any document that you send to NVC has to be original, except for your passport

Packet 3 or 4 is no longer sent by the consulate. All you need is the interview letter that you will receive from NVC. I used the same letter to proceed with medical and to the interview too.
