    Hey congrats on approval. Can I ask you where your I130 file went? Mine is at the WashDC field office and it seems you are one of the FEW who got approved (you state ur local office as washington). Thanks!

      Thanks. Our case was transferred from VSC to NBC (National Benefits Center in Missouri). Our case never went to the Washington local office since it was adjudicated at NBC. Based on the amount of work load all the centers have been receiving lately, I am not surprised that more local offices are adjudicating cases now. Have patience, your time will come.

    Hi Mina! Which physician did your husband go to for the medical? And how much did he have to pay in visa related fees for the medical, at the interview, etc.?

      My husband went to Dr. Wahab (his info should be listed on the BD consulate section on your portals). The medical itself says it is 3000 taka but it's actually 3500 taka because there is a 500 tk fee. If you have already paid the IV bill, AOS bills, then there is no other fee to be paid at the interview. The only other fee would be the $165 for the new immigrant fee (but that's paid only after receiving the visa and before entering US).

    3 more days! I don't know why but I am so nervous for your husband's interview. I am living vicariously through you right now. Lol. What have you been doing to prepare? Have you talked him through all the paperwork and possible questions?

      I understand how you feel! :) We've gathered all extra paperwork that may possibly be asked for (2012 tax returns). We've gotten the medical done, he's got everything he'll need. He has also been reviewing with me what possible questions may be asked. Pray for us that we get approved!

      Great! We're still wiggling through NVC, almost to the end. We just got a checklist for 1 little thing, which makes me kind of upset since we could have already been past that! Oh well. Wish us luck, and good luck to you guys! :D
