Thanks chica...yes, we have been here for almost three months now. Only a few more days til Christmas. I can't wait for me to be able to play Santa with him. Another first of many more to come. How has everything been going with you and your hubby-to-be?

LOL...don't get me wrong I have my days where I have to go off...but it never lasts long and he always reminds me why I fell in love with him...because he makes me want and try to be a better person.

Gracias mi amor...yes it is...he is still getting use to things...but I try to keep him occupied so he doesn't get too home sick which he does when he talks to his mother and sister...so I have him in classes 3 days a week to help with his english...him and my son go to the gym 3-4 times a week...and we have been making the rounds to all of the different restaurants...lol...I am exhausted most of the time but...he is well worth it...because when we lived in the DR he did it all for me.

Thanks everyone...we are finally in the US together...wedding is all planned for New Year's day in Vegas. A new year, a new moon and a new life together as 1. Sooooo excited!!!!!!

Thank you....yes and I got an email from the Embassy today saying we should receive our visa packet in 5-10 days.Good things come those who wait!!

Going to the chapel and we're gonna be maaaarried!!! Ok I am telling my age somewhat here but for those of you who remember that song...lol it is actually from my mother's era...sooooooo excited...can't wait to show my soon to be husband my country like he did for me over the past 3 1/2 years.

Had they have requested the DNA in writing during the interview to prove a valid relationship since that is what she did not believe we could have been done 6 or 7 months ago if that is all it was going to take. Instead of it being 8 months later. Sigh

received a letter requesting his passport and another exam because it is only good for 6 months at the Embassy. But get this when I asked does this mean we are approved they said no, but we could pay domex as well when we drop off the passport and exam...Again...#######?!?!?!?!?

When I got that email I was really pissed because I had been asking for months about the DNA test the asked for if we would do during the interview. But the CO told us that she wanted to look into some other stuff. And we could not do a DNA test that the Embassy would except with out a letter from them requesting it to give to the testing facility. So we waited 6 months for them to finally ask for it formally so we could get the test done. And once they got the results back with in a week we...

I know and I really feel like the long wait was due to the CO wanting to be noisy. Because after they ran back ground check after back ground check on ME they said that if we wanted to expedite the process we could do a DNA test since the CO did not feel like we had a valid relationship.

I am sorry to hear that and that it has taken me so long to respond back. I have been trying to keep busy to as the time so I have not been on here in awhile. Hope all is with you. We are finished with the DNA testing and the Embassy has received the results so hoping to hear some good news real soon. Hoping you hear some good news soon as well.

Hey Chica, sorry I am just now responding I have not been on here in a while. Nothing yet finished with the DNA testing over a month ago so now we are just waiting to see what this letter has to say that the Embassy sent out today. I asked for them to email it to me so I hope to know something by next week. Will keep you posted.

Hey chica...I just called the DOS today and they said that the Embassy had received the DNA results and that they sent a letter out today. So now we are just waiting to see what the letter says. Hopefully this is the letter we have been waiting for him to drop off his passport. This mess is getting really old. But what you do but wait!

That is great! I am so happy for you both. Yeah I think everyone has that thought in the beginning from time to time because you are getting use to living with one another. You are right though I am glad that we are in AP and not denied. I just wish that would get it together. But no worries I know it will all be done and over with soon.

I'm not pissed about having to take the DNA test. I'm pissed that they wait 5 months to send the letter that is needed from the Embassy requesting one, because without that paper the DNA centers AABB approved by the embassy will not process the type of legal DNA test that is accepted. I looked into all of this 5 MONTHS AGO and was told no just wait and that we should have our daughter's updated bc for the next interview. But at least now I KNOW we are closer to the end. Everything...

Yes, and I am really annoyed! I sent them a letter last week as I have been doing since this whole AP started asking is there anything we can do. I even asked after the interview about the DNA test they mentioned during the interview and the response was nope nothing, wait nope, nope. Got daughter's bc with fathers name on it like CO asked for during interview...turned it in...they then asked for my bc...turned that in...now they say if we want to expedite the process we can do a DNA...

I check everyday as well. Our case was last updated on June 10th. I hope we both hear some good news soon. Hang in there!

Sorry, we didn't end up having to do one. We were just waiting for my fiancé's name to be added to our daughters birth certificate, so once it was we just took it up to the Consulate for them to added it to our case file. But we are still in AP.

Hey chica, still nothing yet...sigh...but they have been updating the status on a regular bases so that means they are at least in the case. Hoping something will happen real soon. How is everything going with you?
