We chose the later date because we had some other commitments lined up before. If all goes well we plan on heading out at the end of October. Congrats on the baby! I'll keep my fingers crossed that when you call the september date is still available.

Just got off the phone with Visa Information Service. The earliest date they have available for the visa interview is September 26. All interview appointments are on Wednesday. October seemed to be pretty open, we got an appointment for the 10th. They sent an e-mail confirmation immediately to my husband. I hope that helps! I am sure you will have no problems getting in pretty quickly!
