Thank you for your reply. But,since I will be filing for a late registration of marriage with the Philippine embassy, Do I have to send a notarized affidavit why we have it filed late? My husband was divorced thrice, do we have to send his divorce papers as well? In regard to that FOREIGN SERVICE POST field on the application for ROM, will I just leave it blank? What do you put there?
Thank you so very much.

Hi Vjyers,
First of all I want to greet each and everyone of you a very Happy New Year!
I am in the process of filing for report of marriage (ROM) with the Philippine Consulate in Washington DC.I must admit that due to negligence we were not able to file it on time. We were married May of 2013,and me and my hubby are planning to go to Washington DC to have my passport renewed since it is due to expire on May of this year. I just came to know about it today.
My question is What do I write on that field that says Foreign Service Post? Please help.
Thank you guys.

Hello everyone,
I am about to fill out my I-751 form today.I am a little bit confused about Part 3 (Petitioning Spouse),since there's a field there asking for Alien Registration number.I know this is some stupid question that I want to ask you guys,Petitioning spouse is my USC spouse, right?
The field where it says there "Children's info"somewhat confused me as well.My children were both in the Phils.and my husbands children were not living with us but are on their own since they were all grown ups.Do I just have to leave it blank.
One thing more is it $590 for the fee?
Thanks.

Please check out the links for the I-751 form and the I-751 instructions. They give you all the details you'll need. Good luck!

Thanks a lot.
The 90-day window to file your ROC petition opens ninety calendar days before the expiration date on your conditional Green Card. Sounds like that would be sometime in August, check your calendar. You don't want to send it in too early, or too late.
Thanks a lot!

File Adjustment of Status first which includes EAD (employment).
-
You can file for adjustment of status already.Just follow the steps here on Visa Journey and you're on the right track.Congratulations to the both of you and best wishes.

-
That's right, just make sure you have 2 IDs and birth certificate and NBI/police clearance.

Hi,
We hired a lawyer before since we were thinking it would speed up our visa process but No it won;t.A lawyer can't do nothing, and it's just a waste of money. So when I files for my AOS me and my hubby just do it ourselves and we made it.

There is a newer version of I-864 than the one you are using so download it. http://www.uscis.gov/i-864
On both forms where they ask for tax return information for the last 3 years, they want numbers straight off the tax return, not adjusted by you. On the current form, that is part 6, 13 a,b,c. (There is no #25.)Thanks for your reply.

I said he can send a copy of the SSA-1099 and/or the SS benefits letter he can get from the SSA> http://www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount/ and it also might help to show a few recent bank statements to prove the amount being deposited to his account each month. He should also send proof of his other retirement income too.
Are you saying his retirement income plus his SS benefits do not meet the 125% requirement?
It did.But only if SS pension benefits is added to the pension he is receiving from the State. Thanks Jay-Kay.You are very helpful.God bless you.

Hi Jay-Kay,
In reference to Part 6 (Sponsors income and employment) question #25 which asks about his annual income for 3 previous years, did you say that I just need to manually add his social security pension with his annual income and whatever the amount is, be indicated on Total income field ( social security pension is not included as taxable).
Please bear with me.Just want to make sure were on the same page. Thank you for your patience.
Dear Jay-Kay,
Thank you so very much for your reply. So in regard to his social pension, i just need to send 1009 (social security benefit statement) as proof of his other income. His annual income is less done the poverty guideline required for. BTW,Where do I send my documents? Is it Chicago lockbox?
My heartfelt thanks.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS Family Based ~
Part 6 #3, 3a and 3b ask about retirement. Part 6 #5 is where is you list his current annual income. If his income comes from retirement pay and a pension, then add them together for his total annual income. Provide proof of the income with 1099s showing how much he receives. You can also get a benefit verification letter for the SS > http://ssa-custhelp.ssa.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/2240/~/proof-of-your-social-security-income-for-verification-or-tax-purposes
It can also help to use bank statements that show the non-taxable income amounts being deposited each month.

First of all I would like to thank you for your help in answering all my queries about filing for AOS.I appreciate it very much really.
Anyway,my husband is retired and is recieving retirement pension from the State as well as social security pension.I wonder where do we add my husband's social security pension on form 1-864,since such is not taxable.
Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone!
I have some urgent matters to attend to in the Philippines. My passport is due to expire on May of this year. I have filed for I-1751 already but still have not received my new green card. Would it be possible for me to go home? What do I need to do?
