After following much of the helpful advice from all of you, My wife and I submitted the i-130 petition. Thank you.

Looking ahead to the next step, my wife and I had some questions regarding the I-864 affidavit of support. We noticed that it ask from 3 years of tax returns. If we submitted the form in January or February 2013, does the NVC expect us to have tax returns for 2012? my wife mentioned people posting about RFE asking for tax returns from the previous year even though the deadline to file for tax returns has approached yet. Thank you for any help with this question.

I think my thread got lost in the forum.

Also, when I dont have enough space on the forms, how do i make an attachment? specifically, what do i write in the form (see attachment or soemthing?) and how do i label the attachment?

I am nearly complete with my petition, but I have just a few more questions.

For the question on G-325A asking "the form is in connection with a application for:" what should i put? naturalization, status as a permanent residence, or other (if so what other)?

For evidence of a legit marriage, i only have affidavits from friends and documents under the "others" category such as boarding passes, receipts for rings, and pictures. Do you think thats enough? Also, how do i label and explain what these documents are? can write directly on the photocopies stating that this is a boarding pass from when i visited my wife?

My wife and I just started our Visa Journey. After finding a lot of help from searching through the VisaJourney site and previous posts, we wanted to join this welcoming community and seek further wisdom.

I am an US citizen, and I am trying to apply for a CR-1 for my wife, who is a Chinese citizen.

I am filling out the I-130 and G-325A forms and have some concerns.

First, is everything on the forms suppose to be filled out in English? including my wife's home address (which is in China) and employer?

Second, on the G-325A, what is the file number (is that the same as the alien registration number)? And for the place of residence for the past five years, I was a full time college student for part of that time, do I put my dorm address or my permanent adress with my parents during those years in college?
