Hi just want to know how long does it usually take from sending the packet 3 to the interview and visa ready ?
-
-
:D
You're lucky

I wouldnt worry too much, my fiancé and I also forgot and we were approved with no RFE

Hi all!
I'm in the us with my fiancé now, so I'm only sending back packet 3 once I return, that's in a week.
So how long will it take to get the packet 4 and how long do you usually wait for the interview ?
Also, we're only supposed to send back the ds 230 part I and that other form stating that we're ready for the interview right ?
Thank you!

Where? Nobody replied! :crying:

Checked I intend to box and now added " k1 visa process for permanent residence (will fully provide all expenses as necessary) "
Is it ok?
-
As I and others stated in your other post, follow what it shows on the example form here: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf
Do not check either box and put this on the line: "N/A (K-1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE)"
You could also check 'intend' and put: "K-1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE"
When I open the llink that the visa journey provides, I only see the unfilled form
Anyway , I checked the intend to box and then wrote n/a k1 visa process for permanent residence ! I hope it's ok like that!

This is what we wrote in item no. 11
we check the option of DO NOT INTEND TO MAKE SPECIFIC CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE SUPPORT OF THE PERSON....
and below in explanation we wrote - N/A (K-1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCY)
since ur fiance is going to come and stay with u ..there is no need to mention the 'I INTEND TO' list
Isn't that a contradiction ? I. Sorry to ask !
But if we are filling this form, and then we say 'I don't intend to make specific contributions", wont that be a conflicted answer?
-
Please help ! Me and my fiancée are trying to fill form I 134 and we have no idea what to write in item # 11!
Here's what it says:
I intend to
(If you check intend , indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. For example,if you intend to furnish room and board, state for how long and, if money, state the amount in US dollars and whether it is to be given in a lump sum, weekly or monthly and for how long?)
What did you guys write there ??
Thanks !
:help:

I'm filling it out now, should I write n/a and none in blank spaces? Or just leave it in blank ? Thank you
Oh and what should we write on 11. On the intent of support box

Petitioner gets the NOA2. Packet 3 is from the interviewing consulate/embassy to the beneficiary.
Refer to the K-1 Flowchart for details.
I still didn't change my address because we are waiting for noa2 hard copy , should I change it now? We got our noa2 November 27th by text and email.Still no hard copy! Do they only send the packet 3 after we get noa2 in the mail? I'm so confused!
Thank you for helping !

Hi, I'm the beneficiary , I moved before we got the NOA2. I'm confused , is the NOA2 sent to me or my fiances address in the US.? And what about packet3 ?

Hi, we got our NOA2 November 27th. Still no hard copy on the mail!
I moved , so now I don't know how or when to change my address, should I wait for the hard copy and then call? Or should we just fill in the forms with the new address ?
Thank you!

Ok so I read the k1 guides, read uscis info, and I'm really confused! I received the noa2 today, I know I should wait for the hard copy.... And then what? I'm really confused, I'm reading mixed informations !

There are a lot of factors that can determine how long, and its a case by case basis, partly to do with how organised you are to send your packet 3 info into your consulate, how quickly your local consulate schedules appointments, when you can get your medical done, police checks done etc. There are other unknowns aswell to consider, You could receive an RFE, or you could be delayed at the consulate aswell.
It is advisable to request caterers/venue etc to be flexible with your dates in case you need to move it, find out at least when they need final details and what penalties would apply should you need to move the date.
I was just having a look for one of the May filers who's fiance is from Portugal, his petition is being redirected to the consulate in Paris (common for Portugal apparently), it appears that Paris is scheduling around 3-4 weeks from receipt of packet 3 (based on the 2 most recent interview dates on VJ)
Best of luck, from receiving NOA2, 4 months could be plenty of time once NOA2 is received, if you have everything go well.
Hey! Got NOA2 today ! Say what?? Paris? Can you tell me who is this person so I can talk to him/her? I had no idea that the process is sent to Paris! Do I have to go there? Thank you!

I'm actually in the same boat as you! We got our NOA1 on June 6th and we planned our wedding for April 7th (according to family member availability, etc). Hoping for the best, but am expecting little. Good luck with yours! Will be interesting to see how close together ours come.
Got NOA2 today! I'm so happy and thankful ! I guess we can keep our wedding plans :)

June 5th filer, got approved today! Thank you Lord I truly wish y'all get approved soon!
