I searched the K1 forums and could find the answers...
So many questions! I just received my W2 and my income is JUST barely shy of the 125% guideline for a family of 5.
1. If I have a Court Order for a substantial amount of child support that puts my income far above where it needs to be. Can I count that at income? I can't always show where it has been deposited into my bank account because its sometimes paid in cash and then just used directly to pay bills. If I can Count it with the Court Order as proof, then I'm all set. If not...
2. I can put enough in savings to cover the difference X 5, but does it matter that I am JUST now putting it in? Does it have to have been there for a while or anything like that?
3. Suppose we have more than enough to cover the difference in savings. We apply for AOS immediately when the beneficiary arrives, having plenty in savings to meet I-864 requirements. How long must that money remain in savings? We's like to use it for a DP on a home, but must it remain in savings until... AOS is approved?
Thank you in advance!

I can't believe it!! At 7:00 PM EST, hours after I'd given up hope of hearing something today, I received a text and email that we were APPROVED!!!
My VJ timeline was right on the money, hang in there guys!
I appreciate all the support so much!

How exactly does the medical work? Does the consulate send you somewhere specific? Or do you have to book something in advance with your family physician?
We are close to out estimated NOA2 date and I just want to know if there is anything we could be doing in advance so as not to be held up waiting on something like a Dr. appointment.
Thank you for your help! ~K

Our NOA1 is 07/18/12 and I have been a wreck for DAYS!!
I'm trying to be calm and patient but it's not going so well...
I check USCIS like 5x/day. LOL

ok so I sent off my I-130 today and I was overjoyed to say the least but at the post office I had forgetten to find out how to make the money order out to so I asked my group on fb (easiest access from my phone) and I was told "USCIS" so that is who I made the money order out for....then after I had mailed it I was told by another member that was incorrect....it shoue have been US department of Homeland Security..well obviously I can't change it now
...but do you think they will accept it anyway? or send it back since it's made out to "USCIS"?...I know I could just wait but I'm all antsy now
I got our NOA1 email/text notification tonight, so it appears that a check/money order made out to USCIS isn't an issue. Good Luck!

Yeah if things aren't right they will just reject it and send it back to you. But don't worry, it just means you need to resend it with a properly written check. The only down side is it delays your petition from being processed. And the waiting is the hard part....
Good news! I got our NOA1 text and email tonight!! We are on our way to the Vermont Service Center! I'm so relieved.

I did the same thing!
Ours was mailed on the 13th and received on the 16th, I am anxious to see what happens.

Well, I think I messed ours up. I made the check out to US Citizenship and Immigration Services. After checking, double checking, triple checking... I really thought our app was flawless. I can't believe I somehow missed that, I feel like such an idiot.
I wonder what will happen next. They will send the entire thing back?

I could ask my Father. I just really reeeallly was hoping to be able to do it myself. If I asked my Father, he would have to be able to show proof of income enough to support his household of 3 as well as our 5, correct?
