    My husband is here and his son just got his Visa, he needs to come next month, but my husband won't be able to bring him. Now can a friend bring his son? How does the poder to bring him here go about? please advise....

      Go to this website www.migracion.gob.do Your husband also has to send a notarized letter along with child's mother. Both of this notarize documents are what are taken to be process for the "Poder" for child to leave the country. Make sure that the name of his friend is on those documents and the names of the people that are going to pick him up. My son travel with the airline and we had to put the name of the airline that he was traveling on and that my husband and myself were go...

      if you are able to go to the dominican consulate, try to do so. They prepared the paperwork that stated my husband gave permission for his son to leave the country. We then fed ex this document to a lawyer in DR who prepared child's mom and he took both documents to be process for the "poder"
