  1. Giving someone hope is always a good thing,I just think the way you went about it was wrong. And like I said its easy for you and I we have sailed through the process. Maybe you'd not be so positive had your experience been different.

He went wrong about it also........talking about how NVC sucks, government sucks etc...and if my process would've been longer I would've live with it, I would've had to.....I go by logic a lot more than emotions......took me 5 years lving in US to get my green card and 10 years to get my US citizenship...saw my mom and dad and my sister after 5 years of waitting

  2. Please remember this is YOUR experience of the system,I too have been lucky enough for the process to run smoothly but am under no illusion that for some people on here it takes much longer and it must be infuriating at times for them. Stop having tunnel vision, I don't think you're helping other posters by saying it was so easy for ME so it must be something you're doing.

Its an emotional and stressful process as it is have a little tact.

I am not having tunnel vision, I am just trying to give him some hope. I am not going to feed into his negativity.

  3. Instead of using this forum to complain try to use it for your own benefit to help you finish faster.

    What I did:

    - Called a lawyer and gave me $4500 quote to do my case.

    - I came to this forum and read and learned about the process.

    - I read the ways that people used to get they're process done faster and get the paperwork done right.

    - I kept in touch with a member that was a step ahead of me and asked her questions if I had any.

ALl in all I am very happy with the way the process went, and what gave peace of mind was the fact that I was informed beforehand, and knew what I had to do and how long will it take.

Now that you got your CASE number assuming that you have your paperwork ready and do overnight shipping it shouldn't take more than a month or maybe a little over a month for yours to be done also. But if you're not happy with that either read bellow.

Fact: GOVERNMENT doesn't care about you or me. You have a porblem sue THEM. Otherwise nothing can really change they're ways.

  4. Thanks for the advice but I'm sorry not willing to adapt to this system full of flaws. Some people might find 12 months standard but its below substandard to me,I can't even imagine the pain people go through if they have a child involved in this ridiculous process. I think there should be regular fees for standard processing and $2000 fees for people wishing expedite processing, detrimental to USCIS approval of course. So people like you and me can be happy, after all its a capitalist country!

My process since it started with the NOA1 to Embassy interview took 6.2 months. (Look up my timeline)Do you know what a timeline is? Do you know how to look it up?

    - 2.7 months at USCIS

    - 1 month for NVC to recieve

    - 1 month (3 days over one month) for NVC to process my case (I ADAPTED TO THE SYSTEM AND HAD ALL PAPERWORK READY AND DID OVERNIGHT SHIPPING SO NVC WILL PROCESS FASTER AND THEY DID)

    - 1 month and 9 days the interview was scheduled for the Embassy from the date the NVC completed the case.

So from my timeline you can see that NVC took only a month to process my paperwork not sure what your deal is? USCIS took 2.7 months.

Please explain to me how are you going to solve this system full with flaws? Go ahead tell me? All I see now is just you complaining on the forum about it and probably talking a lot gibrish to the NVC staff. I want a real solution from you...... How are you going to get the Government to change they're ways of processing?

  5. As far as I know the standard process is 9-12 months....am I wrong?

    USCIS 6 months and NVC 6 months..standard?

So be thankfull it takes a lot less than that.

Eventually NVC will get through with your case just have a little patience.

You should've be aware of the process beforehand and in my opinion move to india for a wile and live with your wife while the paperwork gets done if you feel the need to be with your spouse so bad.

That's what one of my friends did. lol

Have some respect and adapt to the system a little bit.....we all did it.....all you do is ###### and annoy

  6. Have there been any cases of being expedited after being routed to NBC?? Anyone out there??

I was really hoping to be expedited - put down our foreign addresses, but now am a little worried and haven't seen any examples of anyone getting routed to NBC and expedited..

Got NOA1 yesterday so I am crossing my fingers for a speedy NOA2!

Does anybody know anything about the processing times of the NBC / Local Field Offices? Because I can only look it up from the normal Service Centers but I guess that doesn't apply anymore.

So is there no one who filed September and later who has gotten the NOA2 then?

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/398174-case-status-since-transfered-to-uscis-nbc-po-box-648005-lees-summit-mo-64064/

  7. For those who got transferred to "USCIS-NBC, PO BOX 648005, Lee's Summit MO 64064" please post timeline so we get some idea on processing. Also please specify if filled abroad or not. Been two months and still waiting for NO2.

    Me: Filled Abroad

    USCIS I-130 Petition for Spouse

    07/31/2012 I130 Package sent

    08/20/2012 NOA1, California Service Center

    08/27/2012 Transfer Notice USCIS-NBC

    .............................................

  8. Yep, they just send applications to NBC since the Service Centers are backlogged. like in my case, CSC. but since there is no processing time of I-130 at NBC the USCIS officer i talked to said, i follow the processing time for my ORIGINAL service center, CSC is 5 MONTHS. but since I am a USC living abroad, still hoping for the Auto expedite que. :)

I was transfered from California office to USCIS-NBC and I got the transfer notice on the 27th of august 2012 and today is 4th of november 2012, and its been about two months and still nothing...........I FILLED ABROAD (USC).........so I was hopping for the "AUTO EXPEDITE QUE" also but I think we may have to forget about that.......................idk I guess we shall see...............I am actually interested in the people that got they're NO2 after they got transfered to USCIS-NBC.....any info on that? Someone should start a thread about it.........

I stopped by the local USCIS office and asked about my case status and the USCIS officer told me to come back in 5 months to ask, before that she has nothing to say to me about my case although I saw her pulling up my file and looking at the info......and said good bye..........kind of sad though cus she was the one that tested me and interogated me when I got my citizenship......

  9. From what I know, if the US citizen divorces the immigrant then it's somewhat ok, but if the immigrant divorces the USC, the immigrant have to have some solid proof of why and only certain proof qualifies. One example would be abusive relationship from the USC part...........

Now why would employer want you to travel back to Philipines? What's that all about? And yes you leaving the country it may go both ways on reentering the US teritory.

"i feel miserable and helpless. like another good opportunity is going to get wasted again. i had to let go so many good opportunities in my life all because my sole future depends on my wife who abandoned me. i thought i will be ok because we are living separately now and can self petition."

Set your priorities straight here, if you still want to live in USA you have to understand to try to solve that problem first, not you bs with you employer and not leaving the country. I don't think you can drop all your faults on your x-wife, just because she left you and YOU chose to divorce her, and also that kind of excuse will definitely get you deported with the immigration. Talk to a lawyer and ask him/her on your options unless you want to live back home.

  10. I was thinking about starting a new thread but I will just post my question here also.

I have been living in Europe on temporary bases also since July 2011 (had a job in US until mid 2011). I am also getting married in Europe (I am a dual citizen). I plan my returning very soon and I would love it to be with my wife together.

I will file for her paper work here and have to send to the Chicago Lockbox.

At the NVC stage I will be required to fill out form I-864 although I don't qualify with income (didn't have a job since I left the US) and I already have a cosponsor setup for that dilemma.

My question is about the Domicile in US.

I am not physically in the US but how do I prove to them my return to US so they can let the paperwork through?

"Temporary" may cover an extended period of residence abroad. The sponsor living abroad must establish the following in order to be considered domiciled in the United States:

He/she left the United States for a limited and not indefinite period of time,

He/she intended to maintain a domicile in the United States, and

He/she has evidence of continued ties to the United States."

So far what I have in the US:

    - I own a house with my name on it.

    - I have US driver license with my US adress on it.

    - I have US bank account with my US adress on it.

    - I have filled 2011 tax return (current year).

    - I have student loan.

So from all this what should I send to them to prove ties and domicile and how?

    - Do I need to write them a letter stating my temporary status in Europe?

    - Send copy of my US ID?

    - Bank account statement?

    - Student loan statement?

    - Do I send this info with the I-864 package?

Thx for your help? Sorry for hijacking your thread OP.
