  1. What we are getting is an "HTTP 500 error" This means that there is a programing problem on their side of things. There is nothing we can do about it. If you are getting the "your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements" popup then you need to update your browser and your adobe acrobat.

  2. I called the consulate in china today and I couldn't even get a word in to the operator before she said she couldn't help me, then the call was over...

All of the people that I called today told me to call someone else and by the end of my day the last person I called told me to call the first person that I called.

All of the people that I taked to were cold and all unsympathetic. It is so sad. My fiance is going to go to her interview with only a non-coded ds 156. wish us luck!

  3. THIS IS CRAZY! MY FIANCE'S INTERVIEW IS ON TUESDAY AND SHE CAN'T COMPLETE THIS FORM ONLINE!

We don't know what to do. I made phone calls all day, after a few calls I was told to call the first person that I called. WE dont know if we should cancel her interview or go just with a printed ds-156 with no barcode. any advice to give?

  4. Hey, is there any one else out there that has been trying to get an interview date at the Guangzhou embassy? My fiance and I have been trying to scedule an interview for weeks now and haven't had any luck with it. Is there some trick to knowing when they will open up dates, or is it just a guessing game? I would love to hear something from someone. Anyone?

  5. I'm certain that the folks at the USCIS know the proper Chinese name format, especially those in Guangzhou. I would write it the proper way according to the Chinese language and customs. That's what we did and we never gave it a second thought. On another note, we did the signature both in Chinese character and pinyin.

    Good Luck on your journey!

Wow, thanks a lot! I really am blessed to have help!

  6. Hi, Thank you all for the great information. I am positive that I will be reading here every day. After our 5 year relationship, we have made the choice to get married... finally...

I am starting the first part of the K-1 visa application (petition) and everything seems quite clear except for one thing, that is the notarized unmarried status documents that show up on lists here and there, but not on the actual state department website list. The only thing the state department's list talks about is documents to support that a devorce has been finalized, but on other websites lists it says one of these certificates that verify your marital status as single is needed. So is it needed for the beneficiary or not needed?

    thanks a million!
