Hi we seem to have filed around the same time, can you tell me if you've had any notification that it's been received? I've no idea how long that sort of thing takes.

  2. ow okay..thanks! theres another stamped visa without that mark on the next page...so m good to go, right? sorry just wanna make sure..thank u...

Cancelled without prejudice simply indicates that the visa has been cancelled without any wrongdoing on your end. For example, if they had to re-print and re-stamp the visa for any reason, they would stamp the first one "cancelled without prejudice." Another example is if you ever had to renew a visa, they would simply stamp the old one "cancelled without prejudice."

As long as there is a valid K-1 visa stamped in your passport you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

  3. hi! i just paid the visa thru the accredited bank which is bpi... i entered the receipt number as instructed but m getting an error message which is invalid...is it bec i just paid it or shud i allow a day or two to input again????

  4. hi! ive read it on the link about appointment letter? are we (beneficary) going to receive that from nvc?

Click on the link and read the requirements. Pre-registering will save you time.

    St. Luke's:

(GUYS if you are in the Phils with your Fiancee before the medical NO contact until AFTER St. Luke's is completed - as in KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS)

Have copies of passport bio page, confirmation page from scheduling interview online at embassy (or if the embassy mails a confirmation letter bring a copy of that), and of course the 2X2 photos. (copy of annulment is asked for at times)

PREREGISTER at St. Luke's website, it saves time when you arrive. http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/

  5. Hi! So after we get our mnl# we can pay the application at bpi, right? So after we pay...to whom are we going to call for schedule? I mean we can already call for the schedule of interview before medical? Also, are they going to send it to us (the beneficiaries) the docs that wer submitted when my fianc filed the petition? M sorry m a bit confused. Just got approved too, same last sept 27...

    Steve...

    1. Yes, your fiancée is on schedule to interview and to get her visa before the end of the year. In a week or so, you need to start calling the National Visa Center (NVC) in order to get your MNL case number. Once you have your MNL case number, your fiancée can pay the visa application fee at BPI and schedule her interview. After she schedules her interview, she can complete the medical at St. Lukes.

    2. The interview does not have to wait until you file your 2012 tax return. Your current sustained income is what they look at, and that's why submitting several of your current paycheck stubs is so important. Your fiancée should point out your increased income and paycheck stubs to both the Filipino pre-screener and to the Consular Officer. Better yet, you should attend the interview and do it yourself. Why take a chance?

  6. We are of the same exact filing dates! Hopefully we will finish everything before the year ends! ;)

    Hi all,

When we started the VISA for K1 I had assumed over 200 days for all processing up to Interview. My assumption was that I would go and get her Mid February.

Our NOA1 was 7/13/12 and now, only 76 days later have this message "On September 27, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE"

I have looked at other timelines who had there NOA1 on 6/13/12 (a Month before ours) and have interviews scheduled for 11/2/12 in Manila...

So now I am thinking that she is going to likely be done with her interview and all by the end of the year. Is that a valid estimate?

    Thanks for any info..

    Steve & Charm

  7. Just be positive about it no matter how negative u feel inside. Dont stop praying...as for me i never expected that it wud only take 76 days! Thank God! But i know my prayers helped a lot.. So just keep praying...hu knows the nxt day or two ull get the approval :) cheer up!

Congrats CSC people. I am very jelly and wish you guys a speedy interview stage so that maybe you can be with your loved ones by Christmas.

I/we were very naive back in June thinking our process would be as speedy and so didn't get around to filing till July. We were originally hoping to be done be Nov/Dec but it's now looking like march, if we're lucky. He's really not handling the distance and putting life on hold so well and has become quite depressed. I'm going out there to visit in November which was our original wedding date. Hoping this will help us stay healthy and sane and bridge the gap before the big move. There's only so many times you can say 'don't worry, soon we'll be together' when in reality soon could be another 6-8 months and the wait might be too painful to make it.

  8. Hi,

Thank u for your reply... So where do i get this interview confirmation page?

    Congrats!!!!

Now things will go MUCH faster!

    Manila Embassy:

After NOA2 AND YOU HAVE YOUR MNL #

(don't need to wait for the letter from the embassy )

Once you have your MNL # you can take your passport and required visa fee (in Php) to BPI and pay your visa fee. The embassy website states that within 4 hours of paying at BPI you can schedule your interview appointment but most times it seems to take about 24 hours.

    http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-paymentinfo.asp

When scheduling online with the embassy you need to include the "XX" at the beginning of the passport number, your passport number IS your receipt number (normally).

Priorty Date; this is the date the NOA 1 was accepted.

Make sure to print two copies of the interview confirmation page as you will need one for St. Luke's and the other for the embassy.

    CFO:

ALL exiting required to attend. There are been changed with CFO so for sure read through the website.

    http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1348:fiancee-spouses-and-other-partners-of-foreign-nationals&catid=140#ThirdA

Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: copies of; CENOMAR, certified birth certificate, bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together, from USC - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.
