  1. I am a disabled veteran and all my income is from the government and not taxable. I pass the income requirement, and sent letters from social security and veterans benefits proving my income. Does anyone know anything about this or went through the same thing and will it be a problem.

    thanks

  2. I called and they said they couldn't find case number. All I got with my second notice was an i797 saying approved and the receipt number. They gave me some number that was suppose to help but it was for facial recognition lol so i will try next week again.

I didn't use an attorney, but in that same situation, I would not think calling just for a status would be an issue.

  3. Thanks for the reply, we have an attorney do you think it wont hurt for me check on it at nvs. it took almost 8 months to get second noa on approved I130

Here is a link so you can see what the workflow is for your visa: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/NVC_Process_Flowchart_v1-2.pdf

Here is the phone number for the National Visa Center: 202-663-1225 You can call and check status anytime you want. All you need is your number from one of your NOA notices.

I don't know about the waiting times, but they should be able to tell you if the bill has been mailed or the exact status of your case.

    Good luck!
