No ss cards received as of yet have feeling will have to go to ss card office my self..

  2. Just a FYI you guys:

    POE'd on 2 May 14 @ Chicago O'hare Int'l.

Just looked up in ELIS system:

Request Type: USCIS Immigrant Fee Case Received Date: May 12, 2014 Received as: E-file Status: In Process Status Date: Jun 2, 2014 Payment: Submitted

so approximately 10 days to reach case received, and then to reach status (optimized) date 2 Jun 14- 32 days total.

so far 35 days after POE, so not bad considering it is taking 6-8 weeks.....

    will keep you informed...peace...

  3. you will know if you are approve or not on same day. during crba you can also apply for the passport of the baby. if approved, you will be able to get the crba and passport in about 2 weeks...

Hello my son's passport took 2 weeks, however his CRBA took 6 weeks (2014). Mine was done in Jakarta, but it may be different where you are. Good luck, and remember preparation is key!

  4. This is the second time I posted about this. I am not sure where my message went. But I was wondering if anyone has been visited by the USCIS at their home. I was last month but I am still waiting for a decision on my case

Hello I was visited, very brief and to the point. The officer was polite and asked us general q's. When met, married, been married before, etc. Wife and I at the same time nothing separate. He actually pushed my case out of AP by helping me out with suggestions on what to do. Sure enough after following his advice, went submitted the paperwork he said...wala bam!!! Case went from AP to Ready to Issued within a week! He was a blessing!!

  5. The OP is a K-1 visa filer. As K-1 visa filers, we don't have to provide co-mingle's proof as you have mentioned or such. Most of times, a consular officer will scrutinize whether is a real relationship or just immigration purpose by asking applicants proofs like an engagement invitation, phone records, wired money, wedding plan, affidavit from family or friends, or etc. Different consulate/embassy will ask different things, and more proofs when some countries fall into category, "high fraud countries".

Sorry did not realize that was the difference between IR1 and K1. I hope your case works out. I just got visas in hand today, it took 600 plus days, 2 RFE's and a whole lot of paperwork. Best of luck to you my friend.

  7. How does it read on the birth certificate? Example mine is first name middle name last name in that order. I also 4 names if your middle name 2 names make sure both names go in the middle name space. Hint: if there is a space(-), make sure you put it, or if 2 seperate names make sure it is separated properly, hint 2 a middle name can be 2 names, it is just not as common in USA as in foreign countries is all.. Remember has got to be exact as your birth certificate.

  8. I dont want an expedite, my family needs one, which is the only reason I contacted my senator to see if she was able to help to get it expedited which she said she would. I don't think that others out there dont want their cases to be expedited as well, its really damn frustrating when I am asking for an imput on the process, not the case itself. No reason to be on edge, it is stupid how unfriendly people can be. I'm not saying its any harder for me, than it is for anybody else, but I can not really look at that can I? I can look after myself and my own family and I will do whatever I can to speed up the process for me and my family as we are facing some serious problems if we dont get it expedited.

Again, I asked about the process, not any input on why I think I should get expedited.

be friendly or dont respond at all, it immature and weird that people would use this forum to get their frustration out on the system. to bad I feel I have to delete thet thread because of people not knowing how to act civil.

I am on this forum because I am willing to help people. I have been in this process for quite some time since July 2012 and have been through several RFE's demanding what seemed like to me, crazy. I overcame each one and finally am down to the last leg hopefully. When I saw your keyword "expedite" I thought I could help because I just literally went through this expedite request less than a week ago. I honestly did get approved, well my family did and now my case is being shipped off to the embassy asap. What I did receive in the email was this, (some of email not all btw):

The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. Any further questions concerning processing or the interview appointment date should be directed to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General.

Please note that the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General may still request additional forms or fees at the time of your interview. Please be prepared to submit any missing forms and pay any required fees at the time of your interview.

Now what that email entails I certainly do not know, but I do know it is leaving the NVC this week to the US embassy in my country, of my family.

Once again I am on here to try and give advice and help people sorry if I offended any one along the way. I know this is a long process, but with striving and endurance you can make it through!

  9. Pregnancy is never ever a reason for expedite

Sir I never said it was a reason for expedite, I said it may help the situation. I am in the NVC phase of my processing and I in fact did get a letter authorizing an expedite on the basis of my wife being pregnant and out of concern for the mother and well being of the child to be. It may very well depend on the embassy at which you are filing at. You are right the NVC does not grant expedites on pregnancy alone, but it does not hurt to add that into the equation either. Anything helps especially when it comes to getting it done as quickly as this particular situation. Did you ask for a expedite in your case?, or what is your background with expediting?
